Saros it does a good job of explaining each new mechanic the game introduces to you and what you need to do at any given moment. However, there are a few things that might leave you in a bit of doubt, and how the stat/attribute system works is one of them. Every time you pick up a new weapon or upgrade, you'll see a stat with a number.
In this guide, we'll go over the main attributes you'll find in the game, how they work, and why you should keep an eye on them. Let's go through each stat and attribute in Saros.
Every stat, attribute and what it means

Stat/Attribute |
Explanation |
|---|---|
|
Endurance |
This is a green icon that looks like a shield. Endurance indicates your maximum armor integritywhich is your HP. Unlock Resilience upgrades to increase your maximum HP. You can also find Integrity Augments in biomes, which will also permanently increase your life. |
|
Command |
Command is symbolized by a blue diamond and is an attribute related to yours Shield capacity and your energy weapon usage. Basically if you increase this you will have a longer spread which will allow you to do two things: use the shield for longer and accumulate more Power Gaugewhich allows you to fire your power weapons multiple times using a single gauge. You can also find temporary power-ups while exploring. |
|
Drive |
The orange Drive icon is prominent related to your lucenitis. By increasing the Disk attribute defeating enemies earns you more lucenite. Lucenit is the key currency you need to unlock upgrades for your character. If you die, you lose Lucenite, but not all of it. It will depend on your upgrades. If you want to learn more about how cycles (runs) work in the game, please see our Cycles Guide. |
|
Corruption |
Yellow projectiles fired by enemies cause corruption when they hit you Corruption doesn't deal normal damage, but instead limits your maximum HP (you will see a yellow cloth covering the top of your health bar). The more corruption you get, the more your health will be compromised. You need to use your energy weapons to get rid of the corruption. |

Saros: How long does it take to hit?
If you were hoping that Saros would be longer than Returnal, then you're in luck. It is! But be prepared for twice as many deaths.
