Wuthering Waves announces major collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Developer Kuro Games shared the official trailer Stormy waves and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' crossover, confirming a release window of later in 2026. Stormy waves recently released its version 3.3 and the open-world gacha has become more and more popular among players since its launch in May 2024. As it approaches its second anniversary, the RPG has finally revealed the first look at what is arguably its biggest collaboration to date.

In April 2025 Stormy waves and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners officially confirmed that a crossover is in the works, with the developers stating that “characters from Night City will enter Solaris”. Many fans were hoping that the crossover would launch during Stormy waves' Era of Rinascita in cycle 2.0. However, no further insight into the project was shared in the following months, although Kuro Games continued to reassure fans that the collaboration was still a reality. Now, more than a year later, Stormy waves confirmed when and which Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters join the RPG.

Wuthering Waves and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners reveal first crossover trailer

Stormy waves revealed that her collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners coming in June 2026. The RPG also confirmed that fan-favorite characters Lucy and Rebecca will be joining the playable roster as 5-star Resonators. Additionally, players will be able to pick up Rebecca for free. In the first crossover trailer, Lucy and Rebecca can be seen interacting with Rover, Lucilla and others. Stormy waves figures across Lahai-Roi. Their in-game fighting style is also briefly introduced, with Lucy using her Monowire and Rebecca firing her massive weapons, a direct nod to their abilities in the anime. As exclusive units, fans will likely have to pull for Lucy and Rebecca Stormy waves' limited banners, although Kuro Games has yet to confirm its elements and weapon types.

The video also teased the starting point of the crossover story. Lucy and Rebecca have just entered the world of Solaris-3 and are known as Edgerunners. Once their mission is complete, they will be able to return home and Lucy will “set her sights on the moon”. Finally, for a split second, David Martinez's back is seen looking down at the world before his jacket flies off. Stormy waves recently released version 3.3 on April 29. If the game follows its usual patch schedule, cooperation with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will coincide with version 3.4, which is expected to be released on June 8.
