What are mods but the ultimate love letter to the game? Lots of creators, inspired by other projects they love, use their skills to marry two IPs that would otherwise never come together. Baldur's Gate 3 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are probably the most popular RPGs of the 1920s, and both tell great stories, have top-notch characters, and are closer to AA rather than AAA releases. Despite being in the same genre, they are very different games and there is no guarantee that a fan BG3 will tend to Clair Obscuro. However, this modder clearly does.

This pack adds several different armor sets Clair Obscuro: Gustav's suit, Maelle's standard uniform, Maele's pure white uniform, and Alicia's outfit. They all come with camp versions so they are versatile. These outfits are based on robes, so the stats will match them. These outfits look pretty cool in a vacuum, but this mod is mainly for people who love both games.

Some BG3 clothing mods add clothes that feel like they were taken from another universe and are great. However, there's a lot to be said for mods that emphasize authenticity and immersion, aiming to add something that makes sense to the world and characters. This mod serves as a prime example as it adds cloaks that match the background and personality of the companions. As a result, they may not be the most eye-catching outfits right away, but they look right when the characters wear them.

Each shell comes standard with some special features. For example, Shadowheart's Shadowed Cloak provides a bonus to spell attacks while cloaked and radiant damage resistance. Mystral Clock allows Gale to cast one spell per rest for free, along with a bonus on saving throws against spells. Just solid accessories that make these garments feel valuable rather than just dressing up.

While each class comes with its fair share of armor options, a few types have to wait a while to get visually interesting outfits to help them shine. Wizards have to wait longer than most to show off their taste in fashion, especially if they want robes. A Potent Robe is available in the base game, which uses a character's charisma to increase their cantrips and temporary lives. The clothes look fantastic, but they are only really viable if you have charisma.

Using this robe as a base, this mod trades charisma for intelligence, making it a viable option for wizards like Gale. Aside from a shift in abilities and a different default design, the Erudit Robe offers the same benefits. If you prefer the look of the Potent Robe, you can also download a version of this mod that replicates that design.

Githyanki are one of the many interesting aspects Baldur's Gate 3and they definitely deserve the attention the game gives them. However, they are rather limited in their cosmetics and their silver armor is mainly present. With Gothyanki Gear, players can add a little more style to this race.

Gothyanki Gear offers new skins and themes, from cosmetics for brawlers, wizards, pirates and more. Lots of cosmetic options for Githyanki definitely match their character and the clothes themselves feel very branded.

Compared to most other classes, druids and clerics seemed to get the short end of the stick when it came to armor. If you're a wizard, you mostly have to rely on robes, which are relatively few and don't always provide great defense. This mod specifically focuses on those two classes and introduces new armor in all three Baldur's Gate 3's, so players always have balanced options that match their current needs.

These armors can be purchased from Brem (Act 1), Lan Tarv (Act 2), and Mystic Carrion (Act 3) and provide a fairly wide range of benefits. The goal of this mod is not to overpower the player, but rather to provide an experience that matches the current difficulty level, and it does a very good job of that.

A Throwback To An Oblivion Mod

Mods inspiring newer mods are just the circle of life. A ton is a The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion modder who created detailed armor and clothing in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Aruless used this inspiration to create a mod for Skyrim which transferred part of Toni's wardrobe and this 2026 mod does the same Baldur's Gate 3.

It actually goes a little further as it's a recovery of Tona's Airy outfit, giving it a unique spin that fits BG3. This mod comes with two outfit options, one of which has a plate chest to give it a more practical aesthetic. At this time, it can only be used by human characters with a female slender body type, along with elves, half-elves, drow, and tieflings.

This mod provides a new set of armor for body types 1-4, complete with their own set of perks and traits that make them worth using. Fortunately for those who still want a vanilla game, these outfits won't provide outrageous bonuses, but ones that fit the Witcher theme quite well.

Complete with black color and thick leather, these Witcher outfits are perfect for those who want to wear the garb of a hunter. It's the perfect set for those looking for Aunt Ethel to cure her of life itself, but this outfit would sure be cool if it were themed Charmerrather than just Warlocks.

With so many body types and outfits, it's no surprise that not all of them fit the way they should. Fortunately, if players are still having trouble clipping their outfits to reveal something slightly inappropriate and NSFW, they can download the Backless Outfits Clipping Fix.

While this mod won't add any new clothing, it may help players who can't walk or sneak around without exposing their nether regions. It certainly helps with immersion as players can run around freely without worrying about a genital jumpscare.

Camp Robes

Use camp clothes to decide how your characters look

Camp Clothing determines how a character dresses in camps, but can also be used to visually change their appearance while traveling. Basically, players can make characters always appear in their camp clothes while retaining the benefits of the armor set they actually wear. Although the base game has a pretty impressive range of camp clothing, it's all “casual” clothing that's separate from armor or robes. You can't choose one of these as Camp Clothing, which means you can't use them as your default visual outfit.

This mod adds a number of simple outfits like Camp Clothing, allowing players to dress however they want all the time without having to worry about stats or perks. All these robes are visual and have no states as they are classified as camp clothes.

Thanks to this mod by TashaWeeds, players with body type 1 are gifted with new armor. The details and design of these garments create a beautiful yet intimidating look, giving players a variety of designs to fit into the world as rulers, assassins, and everything in between.

Players can only use these armors on a Type 1 body, which is somewhat of a downside to the mod, but it doesn't detract from the detail of these costumes in any way. An assortment of gothic-themed clothing that Shadowheart is sure to love is sure to boost the fashion sense of Tav and company.
