1-Finger Sukuna easily destroyed the powerful curse
Arc: Fearsome Womb Arc
Like any other series, Jujutsu Kaisen he needed to engage the audience right from the first episode, which he did perfectly with his portrayal of the Arc of the Dreadwomb. Although it introduced Yuji, Megumi, and Gojo, the best part of this episode was Sukun's initial manifestation, which was triggered by Yuji eating one of his fingers.
Although Sukuna was only at 1/20th of his full power, he was still astronomically strong at this stage, which was evident when he easily obliterated a rank 2 Cursed Spirit with a single attack. Even in his brief skirmish against Gojo, Sukuna showed immense speed and strength, enough to destroy entire sections of the building they were fighting on.

Arc: Fearsome Womb Arc
Following the events of Yuji's recruitment to Jujutsu High, he, Nobara, and Megumi are sent to deal with a cursed spirit in a juvenile detention center that ends up being a terrifying finger wielder. As a last ditch effort to defeat the enemy, Yuji brings in Sukun, who at this point is empowered by another finger.
However, despite having an incredibly low number of fingers, Sukun's strength is so immense that he can effortlessly deal with a Cursed Spirit of Special Grade and finally finish off the villain with a powerful domain expansion. After defeating this enemy, Sukun grabs another finger from his body and fights Megumi.

The 15-fingered Sukuna was already stronger than everyone except Gojo
Arc: Shibuya Incident Arc
The Shibuya incident arc saw the Curse King jump to an unprecedented level of power as Yuji's unconscious body was fed by Nanako, Mimiko and Jogo 12 fingers at once. Because of this, he reached 75% of his total strength with 15 fingers, making him the most powerful character in the series at the time besides Gojo.
His strength in this state was so great that he was able to subdue Jog, the most offensive of the Special Grade Catastrophic Curses, and even defeat the legendary Mahoraga. Although Yuji eventually regained control of his body from the villain, the Shibuya incident showed exactly why Sukuna was considered the strongest wizard of all time.

Long before the start of the series, the Heian era was the most dangerous time in Japan due to the amount of cursed energy and extremely powerful cursed spirits that roamed everywhere, forcing all wizards of the time to be exceptionally powerful in order to survive on a daily basis.
However, here Sukuna thrived; he starts out as a human wizard but eventually turns into the most powerful curse of all time. Not much is known about Sukuna's time in the Heian era, but it was confirmed that his power was unparalleled and most feared him as a demon or God, likened to a walking scourge rather than a sorcerer.

Sukuna reached new heights through Megumi's vessel
Arc: Culling Game Arc
The Culling Game arc had some of the biggest revelations of the whole thing Jujutsu Kaisen story, but very few twists could compare to Sukuna taking over Megumi's body for his inevitable fight with Gojo. The Ten Shadow Technique was always talked about as one of the most powerful ever, but had never actually seen much power through Megumi herself.
However, once Sukuna took control of the technique, its power grew exponentially due to his immense Cursed Energy and jujutsu mastery. In this state, Sukuna spawned Mahoraga and even used his incredible adaptability to bypass Gojo's Infinity forever, which just goes to show that this form was the only way anyone could do it.

Sukun's Endgame True Form was the strongest sorcerer

Arguably the strongest character at the end of the original Jujutsu Kaisen series was Ryomen Sukuna. Although many fans believe that the strongest version of the villain was the Ten Shadow version, the truth is that in his True Form, Sukuna was built to be as efficient and powerful as possible with jujutsu.
Additionally, especially in this form, he had access to the infamous World Cutting Slash, which is largely considered the most powerful offensive attack in the entire series and was the only thing that could kill Gojo by bypassing his Infinity. With all that in mind, Sukun's state at the end of the series was definitely his strongest as he was able to take on every hero by himself.
