The 8 strongest characters who could beat Aizen, ranked

Sosuke Aizen was the main villain for most of the time Bleachand was considered one of the five special war powers during the Thousand Year Blood War. His spiritual energy is so great that most souls die by simply being too close to him. Aizen defeated several captain-level fighters without breaking a sweat, leading many to believe that he could not be defeated. However, there are several characters Bleach who could beat Aizen in a fight.

Combination BleachThe most powerful Soul Reapers and Quincies can defeat Aizen. Most of them can defeat Aizen because their abilities are inherently impaired, but one character in particular should be able to stop him with just their intellect. All of these Bleach characters can find a way to deal with Aizen's immortality and his Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu, which has the power of complete hypnosis.

Gremmy was a member of the Sternritters, making him one of the strongest Quincy in history. Of all of them Bleach villains Ichigo has never fought, Gremmy would probably be the most problematic as his Schrift is fundamentally overpowered. “The Visionary” gave Grammy the power to bring his imagination to life. As a result, he could instantly heal any injury, change physical matter however he pleased, or imagine other living beings in and out of existence.

If Gremmy were to go up against Aizen, he could imagine that he was immune to Kyoka Suigetsu's hypnosis. Or he could imagine Shikai Kyoka Suigetsu destroying Aizen's body rather than mesmerizing others. Aizen's immortality wouldn't be a problem as Gremmy could imagine him being mortal again. If spiritual energy became a problem, Gremmy could match or even surpass Aizen by imagining that he had more spiritual power along with a body that could withstand it. Then he would only have to imagine that Aizen no longer existed.

Soya Azashiro

Soy appears in Bleach: Ghosts are with you forever a light novel that makes it a part Bleachofficial canon. He was once the captain of Squad 11 and held the title of 8th Kenpachi, making him a force to be reckoned with. Aside from Aizen, he is the strongest Soul Reaper known to be currently held in the lowest level of Muken Prison. He was imprisoned because he wanted to purify all humans and end the existence of Hollows, which would destroy the cycle of reincarnation.

Normally, Aizen could beat Soya in a one-on-one fight, but Soya has Bleachthe most broken Bankai. When Urozakuro is active, Soya can connect with and control everything around him, including the air and other living beings. Aizen's hypnosis wouldn't help much unless he used it on the entire city at once.

Some Bleach villains just aren't like that. These are the weakest villains in the series.

6

Mayuri Kurotsuchi

Mayuri Kurotsuchi is the captain of Squad 12 and the president of the technology development department. He may not be one of the strongest characters Bleach right now, but he is very powerful and his genius-level intellect has already proven effective against Aizen. Mayuri created a chair and special barriers to keep Aizen's immense spiritual energy confined to the area around his body.

Given enough time, Mayuri can come up with something that would fully suppress Aizen's spiritual energy, or at least reduce it to a more manageable level. Even then, Mayuri may already be able to defeat Aizen thanks to his modified Bankai, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo: Matai Fukuin Shotai. This Bankai uses all the information Mayuri has gathered to create a Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo that perfectly counters the opponent's abilities. This means that Mayuri can create a Bankai that is immune to Aizen's spiritual energy and Kyoka Suigetsu's hypnosis. He should also be able to find a way around Aizen's immortality.

Loyd died not long after the start of the Quincy Blood War, which is why many Bleach fans don't take him seriously, but he was actually one of the strongest Sternritters. Like his twin, Loyd possessed “The Yourself”, a Schrift that allowed him to take on the appearance of another living being. Loyd's version was more powerful as he could also duplicate 100% of his target's power and abilities.

This means that Loyd could transform into Aizen and fight him evenly. Aizen wouldn't be able to kill him because Loyd would also have an immortal body. Loyd could try to use Shikai Kyoka Suigetsu, but Aizen probably wouldn't be affected by it. If Loyd really wanted to defeat Aizen, he could use “The Yourself” to transform into Yhwach or Captain Commander Yamamoto and use their overpowered abilities to take him down.

Gerard Valkyrie

Gerard is one of Yhwach's elite royal guards, but more importantly, he is the sentient heart of the King of Souls. That is why he was born with “The Miracle”, a Schrift that makes the impossible possible. According to Gerard, this power is essentially a manipulation of probability and will completely break when used in battle. Currently, Gerard wouldn't stand a chance against Aizen in a one-on-one fight, meaning his odds of winning are essentially 0%.

However, if “The Miracle” is active, Gerard will instantly become strong enough to defeat Aizen. This would be the first time that Aizen's immense spiritual energy has actually been a hindrance. Even if Aizen was able to cut Gerard in half, “The Miracle” would resurrect Gerard and make him stronger than he was before. Aizen can use all of them BleachThe strongest Kido spells and Gerard can break through all of them if the odds are not in his favor. Since the chance of killing Aizen would be almost 0% due to his immortality, “The Miracle” would essentially treat Aizen as a mortal.

3

Ichibe Hyosuba

Ichibe is the commander of Squad Zero, so it can be argued that he is the strongest Soul Reaper in the Bleach. He seems like an upbeat and friendly monk, but if Aizen ever made it to the Soul King's Palace, Ichibe would tear him apart without remorse. Ichibe's power revolves around names that are more overpowered than they sound. His Zanpakuto's Shikai resembles a large calligraphy brush used to separate names.

If Ichibe hits Aizen with his Zanpakuto, Aizen's name and power will automatically be halved. This Zanpakuto can also release ink that can rob Aizen of his Shikai, spiritual energy, and immortality if he makes contact with it. If Ichibe felt like humiliating Aizen, he could use his Bankai to give Aizen a new name. If he were to rename him 'fruit fly', Aizen would become as weak as a fruit fly. Anyone could crush him at that point.

2

Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto

Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto established thirteen court guard units and served as captain commander for over 1,000 years as he was considered the strongest soul reaper in the Seireitei. Aizen feared Yamamoto so much that he created Wonderweiss to specifically nullify his Zanpakuto. Yamamoto is arguably the most powerful fire user in shonen anime since mastering the Ryujin Jakka, the oldest and most powerful fire-type Zanpakuto in existence.

Yamamoto could burn almost anything with the flames generated by Ryujin Jakka's Shikai, but those flames would not be enough to destroy Aizen's immortal body. On the other hand, Yamamoto's Bankai could do the job since it has the power to destroy the entire Seireitei. When Zanka no Tachi is active, all of Yamamoto's flames condense in his blade. All Yamamoto has to do is tap Aizen and his body will be erased from existence. Even if Aizen wanted to get close and attack Yamamoto, his body would melt because Zanka no Tachi covers Yamamoto's body with a heat shield that reaches temperatures of up to 15 million degrees.

Yhwach

Yhwach is the Quincy King, but more importantly, he is the son of the Soul King, the most powerful being in Bleach universe. During their first meeting, Yhwach made it clear that he could kill Aizen, but that it would take too much time. Yhwach became one of the strongest final villains in shonen anime when he absorbed the power of the Soul King, but he was already incredibly powerful thanks to “The Almighty”.

With this Schrift, Yhwach can see every possible future at once, meaning he will know when Aizen plans to use Kyoka Suigetsu and when Aizen will attack. Even if Aizen could jump on him, Yhwach can use the Almighty to change the future in his favor. If that wasn't enough, he can use The Almighty to adapt to Aizen's Shikai, making him immune to his hypnosis. All Yhwach needs is to touch Aizen and he can absorb him as the King of Souls. This would give him all of Aizen's power.
