Of all the things that scare me Subnautica 2, the massive giant squid Collector Leviathan may be at the top of the list. When I first got to the Alien Ruins, this monstrous sea creature charged at me at high speed and ended everything before I knew what was happening. Still, the fact is that at some point in the game we all have to face this beast – and some may even seek it out. With that in mind, I'll show you where to find Collector Squid Leviathan Subnautica 2.

Leviathan Giant Squid Collector Location Overview – Subnautica 2
-
The Collector Leviathan is a huge giant squid that burrows its way through the moat behind the high-temperature water east of the Lifepod.
-
Use the signal of the Tadpole Pens as a guide to reach the correct area. It is located about 700 meters east of the Lifepod. The building where the Tadpole Pens investigation took place overlooks the moat. Our first meeting took place on our first visit to this place.
-
The tadpole provides some protection, but the goal here should be to escape and escape. If the Collector Leviathan gets hold of the Tadpole, it can destroy it with very little effort. If they grab you while you're out of the vehicle, it's certain death.
-
The water near the Collector Leviathan is extremely hot, so you'll need to unlock the heat tolerance adaptation on the corrupted Angel Comb.
Due to the speed required to escape the Collector Leviathan, I highly recommend waiting until you get the Tadpoles before even trying to reach the Collector Leviathan Giant Squid.
Where to find Leviathan collectors in Subnautica 2
Head to warmer waters:
To find Collector Leviathan, you'll want to head to the Graveyard area where the water is heated by underwater thermal vents. This is an area where you can find salt and sulfur in abundance.
How do you get to the end? Subnautica 2in the early part, you will receive a mission from NOA that will take you to this area. When you get a notification explore Tadpole Pensyou'll know you've reached the right moment to head east.
Explore Tadpole Pens:
If you've already unlocked the mission but haven't visited it yet, you'll see that the Tadpole Pens are about 700m from the Lifepod. If you look at the signal, you'll notice that you can head almost due east. If you have Tadpoles, the trip shouldn't take too long.
As you move further east, you'll notice that the water begins to take on an orange, cloudy appearance. You'll also notice that a temperature reading appears above the center of the screen to alert you to danger. This is where you will have to have Adaptation of thermal tolerance.
As you approach the Tadpole Pens building, you will be about 150m below the surface. If you don't have a tadpole, this is where you should start to understand why you need one. Without a Rebreather you start to lose the effectiveness of oxygen below 100 meters. This will cause your oxygen to be used up much faster.

How to Escape and Escape the Leviathan Giant Squid Collection in Subnautica 2
Cross on the Seabed:
Once you get to the Tadpole Pens, the goal will be to cross the chasm and get to the Alien Ruins. While I won't say it can't be done without Tadpole, it seems like an incredibly pointless challenge.
Before you do anything, check to see if you can spot the Collector Leviathan.
With the Tadpole, you'll want to immediately drop off the cliff, spin the vehicle down, and descend to the lowest level of the sea floor.
Stay as close to the bottom of the chasm as possible and make sure to avoid the crushing depth. If you are too low, you will be warned in time. Make sure you get up slowly and stay as low as possible.
You will reach the opposite wall very quickly. Head up and you'll find yourself in the Alien Ruins.
- Q: Can I kill or fight a Squid Collector Leviathan Subnautica 2?
- A: No! You absolutely cannot. It can't be stopped. His only goal is to kill you, so your only option is to escape. There doesn't even seem to be any way to escape once the octopus wraps you in its tentacles.
There doesn't seem to be any treasure or hidden items to find like you can with the Great Jaw Clam Leviathan. The only treasure you will find here is to make it to the other side alive.
