The new update preview for Insiders on Xbox consoles changes the way Game Time works, tweaking it based on feedback recently received through the Xbox Player Voice program. So far, the Xbox Player Voice program seems to be a huge success, and it also confirms that Xbox fans want more exclusive games than anything else, but that's definitely not something that can happen in a few days. However, it is about how players get information about playing time.
The Xbox Player Voice program is designed to be a place for Xbox players to send their feedback and wishes about the platform, and then Xbox will respond accordingly. As the company states, some ideas will move forward while others will not, depending on demand or in some cases it takes longer. This new change falls under the hotfix category, but it comes from Player Voice.

Xbox makes big changes to the results
Xbox insiders can get a glimpse of the major achievement changes now, but everyone else has to wait a little longer for the launch.
Xbox is changing how long you play and how it's displayed
In short, Xbox Insiders can currently preview a new OS update for Xbox consoles that will, among other things, adjust play times from days to hours. The demand and quick fix make sense. My PlayStation friends can tell me how many hours they have Apex Legends instantly, while I (as an Xbox gamer) have to sit down and convert days to hours with my handy dandy calculator. It's not a game-changing console update or anything, but it's a small victory for the program and for new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma.

More updates are included in this Xbox preview before everything goes to a wider audience. It also includes some bug fixes, namely issues where the profile page was not showing, where the icon disappeared when navigating the menu, and other various stability and performance fixes. Xbox engineers are also looking into new issues that have surfaced around Gamerscore badges and how some games are not appearing in their My Games and Apps collection. Overall, this is a small but meaningful update for the Xbox community.
Since taking over from Phil Spencer as CEO, Asha Sharma seems to have racked up some small victories. The real test, though perhaps a preliminary test considering she won't even be CEO for 100 days, is the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase. Fans will want to see the right games, released at the right time, with the right messages around them, and some of them are already set in stone for 2026. But depending on how it goes, this could be a pretty good year for Xbox in terms of brand identity and image.

After all, the highest rated game of the year is right now Forza Horizon 6from developer Playground Games and publisher Xbox Game Studios. It remains to be seen whether this momentum will continue for the next releases, but things are looking up.
