Gege Akutami marked the release Jujutsu Kaisen module Volume 3 on May 1, 2026. This was a monumental release for the series as it finally concluded the Modulo short story, which included old characters such as Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Aoi Todo and more in the final stretch. World Jujutsu Kaisen required additional editing in this reissue earlier this month, and oddly enough, it also indirectly touched on the character of Gojo Satoru, bringing the story full circle after 8 long years since his introduction.
When Gojo was first introduced, he clearly set out to completely reshape the Sorcerer Society and free it from the grip of the corrupt higher-ups. For this, Gojo wanted the strength of the young generation, and therefore became a teacher above all. Now, after 8 years, that dream has officially been fulfilled in the latest edition Jujutsu Kaisen module.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Volume 3 Release fulfills Gojo's dream after 8 years
Gojo Satoru debuted at the beginning of the year Jujutsu Kaisen in 2018 in the second chapter of the manga. In this chapter, he announced the details of Yuji Itadori's execution, but as time went on, the character of Gojo was elaborated by author Gege Akutami. Although he seemed cold at first, with more time and more character development we could see that Gojo had a soft heart and more than that, he had dreams and ambitions of his own. Despite being the strongest himself, Gojo cared for everyone around him, and this was evident in his treatment of Yuta Okkotsu, whom he saved from certain death in Jujutsu Kaisen prequel manga, and later in the series, with Yuji Itadori as well.
Goya's primary goal was to change the Sorcerer Society. He wanted to raise the next generation right, only to break Jujutsu from the control of the corrupt higher ups. While Gojo could simply kill them himself, like said in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 11, titled “The Dream”, the ideal approach was to raise a generation that could tell right from wrong and fix the world once and for all.

Now, in Jujutsu Kaisen module The release of Volume 3 officially happened on May 1, 2026 in Japan, and Goya's dream was officially realized through the character of Yuji Itadori. In the latest issue, it is clear that the Jujutsu Society is no longer controlled by corrupt higher-ups. In fact, all major problems are no longer solved by people in the shadows. There is a council of Jujutsu wizards who make all the major decisions, as seen in the case of the battle against the Simura warrior Dabur in Chapter 14 of the Modulo manga, which was officially released on December 8, 2025 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump #2.
Even more than that, at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, when Yuji Itadori decides to rid the people of almost all cursed energy, Goju's dream is duly fulfilled. This is because his beloved student Yuji Itadori embraces his role of raising the next generation properly to protect those who need help instead of sacrificing those who need protection in the first place.

How Yuji Itadori became Goya's perfect successor and carried on his legacy
At the end Jujutsu Kaisen Shinjuku Showdown arc, Yuji Itadori set out on a journey to become Goya's true successor. By following in his mentor's footsteps, Yuji decided to raise the next generation, right? This was clearly seen in Chapter 271 of the manga, which was officially released in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 41 on September 17, 2024.

IN Jujutsu Kaisen module The last issue of the third volume, Yuji Itadori himself confirmed in chapter 25 that he had gone astray, forgetting the things he was supposed to protect. Yuji reaches out to Nobara Kugisaki as he wants her help in trying to raise the next generation of powerful Heaven's Restraint users that would inevitably appear after he decided to get rid of almost all of the cursed energy.

By mass-producing the Cursed Tools in the Gojo Clan's inventory and then raising this next generation, Yuji fulfilled Gojo Satoru's dream by starting an army of good-hearted individuals who follow in his footsteps, and subsequently in Gojo's footsteps. Yuji Itadori also states that he will live for another 300 or so years. According to Gege Akutami, this is because he consumed Death Paintings 4 through 9 during the timeskip between the Culling Game and Shinjuku Showdown arcs.

With Yuji staying alive this long, he will surely create a powerful force within three centuries that lives and dies by the ideology of Gojo Satoru himself. This new generation of wizards will focus on killing all the cursed spirits that form in Tokyo, even though the cursed energy will be reduced as much as possible. They will do so while protecting and shielding the innocent and the weak from any harm. The tragedy that Gojo and Riko Amanai couldn't prevent can never happen again, and Yuji Itadori will see to it. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo thus played a great role in connecting Yuji and Gojo's characters, eventually making the former understand what Gojo meant when he told him to seek a different kind of power.

Gojo Satoru's influence on the modern world of Jujutsu is unforgettable
In its entirety Jujutsu KaisenGojo Satoru is quite easily the most iconic character, both among the fanbase and in the world itself. Gojo's mere birth shook the foundation of the entire world as he became the first in 400 years to be born with both the Limitless and the Six Eyes. Gojo Satoru was the one who saved people like Yuta Okkotsu who ended up playing a significant role in the story. He also saved Yuji Itadori from his execution, which ended up completely changing the course of the world. It was because of him that Ryomen Sukuna was defeated in the Shinjuku Showdown, as without his incredible efforts in his battle until JJK Chapter 236, defeating the King of Curses would have been impossible. Most importantly, Gojo influenced the next generation of wizards and paved the way for a complete change in the world.

He also got rid of the senior positions at Jujutsu headquarters, allowing the younger generation to take over and rebuild the entire company from scratch. Even 68 years later, Gojo Satoru is still spoken of as a legend who buried people like Mahoraga, which was clearly seen in JJK Modulo Chapter 25, featured in the last issue of Volume 3 on May 1st, 2026. Now, Yuji Itadori's decision to start a new group of wizards is all in line with Gojo Satoru's teachings. All things considered, Gojo is probably the most influential figure that Gege Akutami introduced in Jujutsu Kaisen.
This brilliant piece of additional characterization that he received during Yuji's character development successfully completed his goal and rounded out the overall character arc, and that's something we're absolutely thrilled about.
