All 50 Bat-Symbol Locations Overview

There are 50 Bat-Symbols in Gotham City, and you’ll find them on rooftops, behind signs, on elevated beams, and near tall landmarks. The following table uses an overall numbering system to cover the 50 Bat-Symbols. The district sections later in the guide use the numbers shown on the individual district maps, with the overall number indicated in parentheses.

How Bat-Symbols Work

Bat-Symbols are glowing gold coins with Batman’s logo, and you collect them simply by coming into contact with them. Some players may refer to them as Bat Coins or Bat-Symbol coins, but this guide uses Bat-Symbols, as that is how the collectible is referred to in-game.

Bat-Symbols aren’t as easy to find as the game’s other collectibles, as they aren’t shown on the map after activating towers. This means you’ll need to rely on coordinates and landmarks to find all 50.

Fortunately, you only need to find 25 Bat-Symbols for The idea was to be a symbol achievement. You will need to collect all 50 to complete the T-Rex statue in the Batcave, though.

All Tricorner Bat-Symbol Locations

There are six Bat-Symbols in Tricorner.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #1)

• Coordinates: 142, 71
• Location: On the side of the Kord Industries building close to the water.

Look for the Bat-Symbol on the side of the Kord Industries building near the waterfront.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #2)

• Coordinates: 155, 124
• Location: Behind the fence next to the Combat Trial.

Head to the Combat Trial in the area and check behind the nearby fence. The Bat-Symbol is next to two blue barrels.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #3)

• Coordinates: 246, 115
• Location: On the roof of the overhang just northeast of the large crane.

Climb or glide to the roof of the overhang northeast of the large crane at the waterfront. You can grapple directly from the ground to the roof.

Bat-Symbol 4 Location (Overall #4)

• Coordinates: 256, 175
• Location: On the roof behind the Q-Ball Pool Hall sign.

Go to the Q-Ball Pool Hall sign and check the roof behind it. You can grapple from the street to the sign, making this Bat-Symbol easy to reach.

Bat-Symbol 5 Location (Overall #5)

• Coordinates: 221, 189
• Location: On the metal scaffolding over the generators on the roof.

Reach the rooftop with the generators, then look for the metal scaffolding above them. You can grapple straight to the scaffolding, and the generators look like oil drums on their sides.

Bat-Symbol 6 Location (Overall #6)

• Coordinates: 134, 164
• Location: In the air current by the tall tower marked 03.

Use the air current near the tall tower to glide into the Bat-Symbol. You’ll need to grapple onto some of the shorter structures in the area before you can get on top of the tower, and the tower is marked with 03.

All Old Gotham South Bat-Symbol Locations

There are six Bat-Symbols in Old Gotham South.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #7)

• Coordinates: 378, 227
• Location: Inside the building with the domed roof.

Enter the building with the domed roof and look inside for the Bat-Symbol. The building’s unique appearance makes it very obvious, making this one of the easiest Bat-Symbols to find.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #8)

• Coordinates: 304, 278
• Location: On the top balcony at Hotel Old Gotham South.

Reach the upper balcony of Hotel Old Gotham South to find this Bat-Symbol. You’ll be just under the hotel’s glowing red sign, and you can grapple to it from the elevated train tracks.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #9)

• Coordinates: 299, 314
• Location: In the third-floor area of the building.

This is one of the trickiest Bat-Symbols to locate. Start by standing on the column at 302, 304 and look north. Grapple to the ledge in front of you to enter a covered area. The collectible is by a door covered by a brown awning.

Bat-Symbol 4 Location (Overall #10)

• Coordinates: 264, 305
• Location: On top of a column at the corner of the bridge.

There’s a small bridge in Grant Park. Grapple to the column at the southeast corner to find the Bat-Symbol.

Bat-Symbol 5 Location (Overall #11)

• Coordinates: 250, 345
• Location: On top of the tower next to the building with the Action News sign.

This Bat-Symbol is hovering over a radio tower next to a building with a large Action News sign. Notably, this is not the tower that reveals collectibles in the district, and you can grapple and glide to the collectible from the top of one of the nearby buildings.

Bat-Symbol 6 Location (Overall #12)

• Coordinates: 347, 308
• Location: Just before entering the tunnel.

There are stairs leading down into a tunnel with a Combat Challenge in this area, and the Bat-Symbol is at the tunnel’s north entrance.

All Old Gotham North Bat-Symbol Locations

There are six Bat-Symbols in Old Gotham North.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #13)

• Coordinates: 351, 353
• Location: On a narrow ledge on the side of the building with the Got Hamburger? sign.

Find the building with the Got Hamburger? billboard on the roof. There are some narrow ledges beneath that sign, and the Bat-Symbol is on one of them. You’ll need to jump or glide to the collectible, as you can’t grapple directly to its ledge.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #14)

• Coordinates: 335, 389
• Location: On top of the elevated tunnel that connects the Brix building to another building.

Climb or glide to the top of the elevated tunnel connected to the Brix building.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #15)

• Coordinates: 383, 382
• Location: On the second-floor balcony.

Grapple up to the second-floor balcony of the building southeast of the Wayne Tower. If you look right, you’ll see a building with a Detroit billboard, and if you look left you’ll see a Gotham General Store.

Bat-Symbol 4 Location (Overall #16)

• Coordinates: 380, 430
• Location: On the streetlamp above the black minifig statue.

Find the black minifig statue, then look up at the streetlamp above it. You can’t grapple directly to the Bat-Symbol, so you’ll either need to glide to it from another building or grapple directly into a glide from the streetlamp.

Bat-Symbol 5 Location (Overall #17)

• Coordinates: 441, 409
• Location: On the water tower on the roof of the building with the Gotham General Store.

Go to the Gotham General Store building and climb to the rooftop water tower. There’s a vent with air current on the roof that gives you a boost to the collectible.

Bat-Symbol 6 Location (Overall #18)

• Coordinates: 421, 457
• Location: Above the elevated walkway, between the tall train station columns.

Look above the elevated walkway that runs between the columns with the Train Station signs. You can grapple onto one of those columns and then jump into the Bat-Symbol.

All Old Gotham West Bat-Symbol Locations

There are five Bat-Symbols in Old Gotham West.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #19)

• Coordinates: 318, 461
• Location: At the corner of the Star Theater building’s highest roof.

Simply get on top of the Star Theater building and check the southeast corner of the highest part of the roof.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #20)

• Coordinates: 280, 466
• Location: On the roof of the Flugelheim.

Reach the roof of the Flugelheim to collect this Bat-Symbol from the east side. This is a very tall building, so you’ll definitely need to chain grapple upward from shorter structures to get to the top.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #21)

• Coordinates: 285, 419
• Location: On a power line over the street between the Gotham Globe and Gotham Burger.

Look for the power line over the street between the Gotham Globe and Gotham Burger. Use one of the nearby buildings to get some elevation and then glide to the Bat-Symbol.

Bat-Symbol 4 Location (Overall #22)

• Coordinates: 254, 388
• Location: On an overhang on the building to the right of the Got Hamburger? billboard.

Find the Got Hamburger? billboard, then check the overhang on the second floor of the building to its right.

Bat-Symbol 5 Location (Overall #23)

• Coordinates: 182, 340
• Location: On an elevated beam over the road.

There’s an elevated beam over the road at the listed coordinates, and you can grapple to get on top of it and reach the Bat-Symbol.

All The Cauldron South Bat-Symbol Locations

There are five Bat-Symbols in The Cauldron South.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #24)

• Coordinates: 233, 473
• Location: On the roof, next to a vent with an air current.

Use your grapple to get on the roof of the building to the right of the large Soder Cola sign. The Bat-Symbol is next to the vent emitting an air current.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #25)

• Coordinates: 154, 469
• Location: On the overpass connected to the elevated train tracks.

This Bat-Symbol is on an overpass extending northward out of the elevated train tracks.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #26)

• Coordinates: 180, 453
• Location: Behind pallets in the garage at the car wash.

Enter the garage at the car wash and check behind the pallets. This Bat-Symbol is on the street level, making it one of the few that does not require vertical exploration.

Bat-Symbol 4 Location (Overall #27)

• Coordinates: 138, 449
• Location: Between the smokestacks on the roof of the Keystone Industries building.

Climb or glide to the Keystone Industries roof and look between the smokestacks. You’ll be just behind the Keystone Industries sign.

Bat-Symbol 5 Location (Overall #28)

• Coordinates: 192, 407
• Location: Next to the drums on the roof across from the Metro Steel tanks.

Grapple to the roof of the building across from the tanks with the Metro Steel sign to find this Bat-Symbol. It’s next to a drum marked 01.

All The Cauldron North – Ace Chemicals Bat-Symbol Locations

There are five Bat-Symbols in The Cauldron North – Ace Chemicals.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #29)

• Coordinates: 201, 502
• Location: In the middle of a gold Stud ring near the top of a very tall electrical pole.

Climb up to the top of the very tall electrical pole and glide through the gold Stud ring in the air to collect a Bat-Symbol. You’ll see the large Soder Cola sign to your southeast when standing on the pole.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #30)

• Coordinates: 244, 547
• Location: In an alcove hidden underneath the Kord Industries billboard with the car.

Find the Kord Industries billboard with the car and check the alcove underneath it. This area is very well hidden, and this is one of the most difficult Bat-Symbols to find.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #31)

• Coordinates: 231, 592
• Location: On top of an elevated beam over the train tracks.

Look above the train tracks for the elevated beam, grapple to the top, and go to the northeast end.

Bat-Symbol 4 Location (Overall #32)

• Coordinates: 153, 539
• Location: Behind the “C” in the ACE sign.

Go to the ACE sign and check behind the letter C. You can easily grapple to the ledge with the sign.

Bat-Symbol 5 Location (Overall #33)

• Coordinates: 106, 578
• Location: In the corridor between the metal fence and the brick wall.

Search the corridor between the metal fence and the brick wall near the waterfront. You’ll see a blue porta potty just north of the Bat-Symbol.

All Newtown Bat-Symbol Locations

There are five Bat-Symbols in Newtown.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #34)

• Coordinates: 277, 653
• Location: On an elevated beam over the road.

Grapple to get on top of the elevated beam over the road.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #35)

• Coordinates: 325, 630
• Location: Hovering over the fountain.

Go to the fountain and collect the Bat-Symbol hovering above it. You can easily reach this collectible by gliding from the walkways that overlook the fountain.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #36)

• Coordinates: 364, 658
• Location: On the elevated walkway that connects the Q Corp building to the Opera.

Find the elevated walkway between the Q Corp building and the Opera. The Q Corp building also has a large Rock Cafe sign, making it easy to identify.

Bat-Symbol 4 Location (Overall #37)

• Coordinates: 419, 660
• Location: Get a boost from the air vent on the nearby roof.

Hop in the air current on the roof to get a boost to this Bat-Symbol.

Bat-Symbol 5 Location (Overall #38)

• Location: On the roof of the Water and Power building’s front-right column.

Reach the roof of the front-right column at the Water and Power building. The column is pretty tall, requiring you to put together a sequence of grapples.

All Gotham Village – Robinson Park Bat-Symbol Locations

There are five Bat-Symbols in Gotham Village – Robinson Park.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #39)

• Coordinates: 302, 692
• Location: On the highest point of the roof of the building with the Jitters Coffee sign by the door.

Find the many-windowed building with the Jitters Coffee sign by the door. Grapple up to the highest point of the roof to grab the Bat-Symbol.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #40)

• Coordinates: 309, 760
• Location: In the air above the large minifig statue on top of the Heyes Hotel.

There is a large minifig statue with a hat on top of the Heyes Hotel. The Bat-Symbol is in the air above that statue, and you can glide to it from a nearby building.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #41)

• Coordinates: 280, 743
• Location: On an elevated beam high above the road.

There is an elevated beam high above the road, and the Bat-Symbol is on top of it.

Bat-Symbol 4 Location (Overall #42)

• Location: On the highest point of the roof of Gray Towers.

Gray Towers is a tall building on the west side of Gotham Village. Grapple and glide to the highest point of the roof to find a Bat-Symbol.

• Location: On the roof above the Les Minifigures billboard.

Find the Les Minifigures billboard and check the roof above it. You can use the tightropes on the roof to jump into the collectible.

All East End – Amusement Mile Bat-Symbol Locations

There are seven Bat-Symbols in East End – Amusement Mile.

Bat-Symbol 1 Location (Overall #44)

• Location: On the highest point of the roof of the building with the On the Run billboard.

Find the building with the On the Run billboard and grapple to the highest point of its roof.

Bat-Symbol 2 Location (Overall #45)

• Location: On the Wayne Financial billboard.

Go to the Wayne Financial billboard and grapple or glide onto it.

Bat-Symbol 3 Location (Overall #46)

• Location: On the highest roof above the Snowy Cones Ice Cream sign.

Find the Snowy Cones Ice Cream sign on the west side of the amusement park area and check the highest roof above it.

Look for the elevated metal beam over the road at the listed coordinates. The collectible is on top of it.

Do Towers Reveal Bat-Symbols?

No, Bat-Symbols are not revealed in the same way as other collectibles and activities. While you should definitely activate towers for district cleanup, they won’t help you when looking for all 50 Bat-Symbols.
