Below, we'll share a brief overview of each raid in chronological order so you can understand the narrative significance of the 6-Guardian Fireteam that stopped these threats.

Every Destiny 2 Raid in chronological order

Raid	Description
Glass vault	A glass vault on Venus hides an important player in the Vex network, as Atheon is the conductor of time, but only in the Vault. The Guardians pursued Atheon to remove a key figure from the Vex to prevent them from further integrating into reality.
Crota's End	In the Hellmouth on the moon lies Crota, son of Oryx, and his throne world. The Guardians set out to kill this God Knight, only to awaken further vengeance in the God King himself, Oryx…
The King's Fall	Oryx commands the Darkness and the Taken army and awaits the Guardians in his Throne World to avenge his son. The Guardians manage to kill Oryx in his Throne World, ensuring his final death, but at the cost of an empty seat on his throne, which his sisters will fight to fill…
Leviathan	After the Red War, the exiled former Cabal Emperor Calus invites the Guardians aboard his ship Leviathan with a series of challenges prepared for his amusement (and study). Defeating Calus revealed that he was a robot and the real Calus was somewhere else scheming…
Eater of Worlds	Argos, the mind of the Vex, found itself trapped in the engines of the Leviathan, and Emperor Calus requested the help of the Guardians to solve the engine problem and eliminate the Vex threat.
Tower of Stars	The remnants of the Red Legion, led by Val Ca'uor, infiltrated Leviathan. Emperor Calus requests additional assistance from the Guardians to fend off these attackers and stop his ship being commandeered.
Last wish	With Cayde-6 avenged and Uldren Sov now dead, the Queen of the Awakened, Mara Sov, calls on the Guardians to confront Riven, Ahamkar, the last living wish dragon. Riven has been captured and must be killed and her heart removed in order to cleanse the dream city of its corruption. Although death has been part of Riven's plan all along…
A scourge of the past	The Fallen faction of Kell's Scourge infiltrated the Last City and claimed a lost vault of powerful weapons from the Black Armory. The Guardians must breach Kell's Scourge territory and destroy their war machines before the Last City collapses from the threats within.
Crown of Sorrow	The infestation of the Hive has left the Leviathan in ruins, and Calus once again calls upon the Guardians to stop this threat, as Gahlran, the Sorrowbringer, has been driven mad by power and darkness from the Crown of Sorrow.
Garden of Salvation	Pyramids are uncovered across the Solar System and the Vex are drawn to a mysterious signal in the Black Garden. The Guardians defeat the Vex and track down the signal, only to discover the Black Fleet, the very darkness that is coming.
Deep Stone Crypt	House Salvation and their forces of darkness have infiltrated the Deep Stone Crypt, a powerful space station above Europa. The Guardians must clear House Salvation from Clovis Bray's standby vessel to stop the immense destruction on the icy moon Jupiter.
The Disciple's Vow	The first Disciple of the Witness welcomes the Guardians to their imprisonment in a sunken pyramid ship on the Throne World of Savathun. Rhulk, serving the Witness, attempts to seal the Light with the Upended, a superweapon siphon. The Guardians defeat Rhulk, causing the Witness to rally his Dark Fleet towards the Solar System.
Root of Nightmares	With the Pilgrim open and the Witness now inside creating the Ultimate Shape, the Guardians board a terraformed pyramid ship attacked by the Pilgrim in search of answers, only to find the resurrected Nezarec, the Last God of Pain and Nightmares, awaiting his next death.
The edge of salvation	The Guardians managed to penetrate the Pilgrim's Pale Heart and ascend the Witness monolith to confront the conductor of the Last Shape and weaken him enough that his ultimate death would save the entire universe from an eternal state of nothingness.
The Desert Perpetual	Maya Sundaresh, the Conductor, uses the power of the Echo of Command to control the Vex, and her quest takes her to the Kepler Singularity to invade the unknown space of the Nine. The Guardians penetrate the unknown, fight the Vex and drive them out before they can digitize the dimensional dark matter.
