The first volume Assassin's Creed Shadows: Tales of Iga is now available in English. The prequel manga offers a closer look at the world Assassin's Creed Shadows through the perspective of the titular shinobi village at the heart of the game's story.
The official manga was originally announced in February 2025, a month in advance Assassin's Creed Shadows' critically acclaimed release. At the time, Ubisoft only confirmed a release date for Japan, where the series debuted on March 20, 2025, the same day as the AAA game it's based on. Created by Japanese manga artist Regujie, Stories of Iga has since appeared on the pages of Yanmaga's Weekly Young Magazine.

Assassin's Creed Shadows: Tales of Iga Vol. 1 Starting at $14.99

VIZ Media has officially released the English version Assassin's Creed Shadows: Tales of Iga Vol. 1 June 16. The manga is priced at $14.99 in both paperback and digital formats. Amazon is currently running a promotion that drops the Kindle edition to $10.99, a 27% discount. The deal doesn't appear to have an end date listed, but framing it as a launch discount suggests it won't be around for long.
The first volume Stories of Iga it has 192 pages. The series is set to conclude with volume 2, which is currently scheduled for release in English on November 17, 2026. The collected volume in Japanese and its French translation have already been released in March and June 2026.

The history of manga Assassin's Creed evolved less as a unified publishing line than as a series of targeted regional experiments built on Ubisoft's historically best-selling environments. Publication of the franchise's manga in English began in 2017 Assassin's Creed: AwakeningThe Titan Manga is a two-volume adaptation Black flag. This made Edward Kenway the first main protagonist of a manga in English, years before Ubisoft returned to the character The Forgotten Temple. Final volume The Forgotten Temple it is scheduled for an English release on August 18, 2026, just over a month after that Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynchronized starts July 9.
Given Ubisoft's track record, the upcoming one is likely Assassin's Creed Codename Hex will also receive tie-in manga. The next major entry in the open-world franchise is estimated to have entered pre-production in 2022, though four years later, an official release window is still missing. However, recent reports indicate that the project is internally targeting a June 2027 launch.
