The Seventh Hokage of Konoha, Naruto Uzumaki is a hugely important character in the overarching story Borutodespite not being its protagonist. Naruto Uzumaki is the foundation of the entire story, and that's why this story gives him so much importance. Unfortunately in Boruto Chapter 55 February 19, 2021 Naruto Uzumaki has officially lost his greatest source of power, Kurama. Shortly after, he was sealed away by Kawaki using the Daikokuten in Boruto Chapter 77.
Fans are still waiting for his comeback and his re-ascension to the top fighting ranks. Fortunately, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, a massive Otsutsuki jutsu is lined up for Naruto Uzumaki once he returns, and this is the primary jutsu of Momoshiki's Rinnegan – absorbing and expelling chakra.

At this point it is clear Boruto series that Naruto Uzumaki needs a significant boost to his overall strength. With the loss of Kurama, Naruto Uzumaki is no longer as strong as he once was, especially since he also seems to have lost his connection to the other Tailed Beasts with Kurama's death. Even though Naruto Uzumaki was shown using a better version of Sage Mode in Boruto Chapter 64 on November 19, 2021, his overall abilities are still not enough to face a Shinju or future Otsutsuki type threat that might appear in the story.

For this, Naruto Uzumaki needs significant upgrades and these upgrades have already become a reality when we look at the fact that Sasuke Uchiha gained immense power during this timeskip. At one point in Boruto, Sasuke wasn't even able to scratch Jigen in battle, not even with the support of Naruto Uzumaki. However, as was clearly seen in Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes Chapter 5 On December 20, 2023, Sasuke was able to severely injure Code and take his eye without having his Rinnegan, despite Code being much stronger than Jigen. It is clear that Sasuke trained with Boruto during the timeskip and reached a higher level of power. This pretty much confirms that Naruto Uzumaki will also grow in terms of power upon his return, and one of the ways he can potentially achieve this is through the use of scientific ninja technology.
From the very beginning Boruto series, scientific ninja technology was the mainstay of its story. In fact, Naruto Uzumaki even tried out a unique scientific ninja tool Boruto Chapter 16 on September 11, 2017. In this particular chapter, Katasuke developed a mechanical prosthetic hand especially for Naruto. This hand has immense power and is basically a copy of Momoshiki Otsutsuki's Rinnegan.

For those who don't remember, Momoshiki had the ability to absorb any form of chakra from his hand which would then become his own. Another ability he could use with his second Rinnegan was to banish this chakra by boosting it multiple times. While the absorption part of this prosthetic hand worked perfectly, Katasuke was still working on the expulsion and it was officially confirmed that this prosthetic was still a prototype and still in development.
Three years have passed since then, and it is highly likely that this prototype has now been fully developed, meaning that upon returning, Naruto Uzumaki could potentially use this new Otsutsuki Jutsu, making him extremely powerful.

Naruto's next prosthetic upgrade could give him chakra absorption and retribution
The return of Naruto Uzumaki is coming Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes. A new arc that continued on June 18, 2026, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35, officially set up Sasuke Uchiha's return at the end by placing the spotlight on Hidari and Jura. These two Shinju grow tremendously close to each other and one of them is the next in line to fall. With Hidari being the weaker of the two, it stands to reason that he will be taken down first, followed by the strongest of the Shinju, Jura. Hidari's defeat officially brings back Sasuke Uchiha, meaning that Naruto Uzumaki will return shortly after. While the wait will still be long, we know it's coming and a power-up for Naruto Uzumaki must be ready as well.

Once Naruto returns, one of the easiest ways to get stronger would be to use this new prosthetic hand based on Momoshiki Otsutsuki's powers. The likelihood of Naruto getting this hand is even higher considering the fact that Amado, a brilliant scientist, is still in the village. Utilizing his high intellect, the banishing ability of this prosthetic hand would likely be completed as well, meaning that Naruto would officially be in charge of the powerful Otsutsuki Rinnegan Jutsu. He could then use it to drastically strengthen himself while taking down powerful enemies on the level of the Otsutsuki themselves.

Naruto Uzumaki becomes stronger than before in two blue vortexes
With the power of this prosthetic hand, Naruto Uzumaki would become much stronger than before. In fact, Naruto's strength could be enhanced even more if this prosthetic hand was built into his current hand made of Hashirama Cells. As established in the lore of the Naruto series, Hashirama cells boost an individual's overall chakra as well as regeneration speed. Most importantly, they grant the user Wood Release Kekkei Genkai.

With this new prosthetic hand, Naruto could also potentially gain the Wood Release Kekkei Genkai combined with the ability to absorb and expel chakra. The combination of these two abilities could take Naruto to a whole new level, especially when combined with his officially enhanced Sage Mode, which was briefly introduced in Boruto's Chapter 64. All things considered, Naruto Uzumaki's growth in terms of power is already a given, and it's only a matter of time before he reaches a higher power through these unique means.
