Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a legendary story by Hirohiko Araki. As for Jojo Part 1: Phantom Blood, the manga debuted in Weekly Shōnen Jump issue #1/2 on December 2nd, 1986. The story is now 40 years old, yet it's still going on at this point with part 9. With that being said, as far as the anime goes, it's much more recent. A full-fledged anime adaptation of Jojo by David Production started on October 5, 2012 Phantom Blood. Subsequent episodes would be adapted over the following years, with the most recent adaptation being Episode 7: Steel Ball Run, which aired its first episode on March 19, 2026. Unfortunately, nothing else has been released for Jojo since then.
Fortunately, new promotional content for the Steel Ball Run has been officially revealed following a 47-minute episode in March that covered the first leg of the race. We now have the key visual for the next phase. Released on June 26, 2026, this key visual features 4 important characters for the next phase. Of course, both Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli are featured front and center, but we also see Diego Brando in the back. Also highlighted is a new character that anime-only fans aren't too familiar with, named Mountain Tim. Mountain Tim will have a huge role in the second phase and will be one of the first stand users to make the move.

Jojo reveals a new key visual for part 7 is a good sign that tells us something new is about to be revealed regarding Jojo's Bizarre Adventure after the anime's weird hiatus after the first episode. We already know that the series will be launched on July 3, 2026 as part of Anime Expo 2026. Jojo's official account confirmed this today, June 27, 2026.
It has also been officially confirmed that the event starts at 12:30pm Los Angeles time and the venue will be the Crypto.com Arena. Only fans present at Anime Expo will be able to see the announcement as there will be no live broadcast.
Composer Yugo Kanno will be there as well as English voice actors for Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli, Daman Mills and Kaiji Tang. This is definitely a must-attend event for any Jojo fan heading to Anime Expo 2026, as new information will be revealed soon related to a special live performance that is definitely not to be missed.

With Anime Expo fast approaching, we're all sure we'll finally have more information about the second phase after the long wait Jojo Part 7. That means we're all wondering when the next episode will come out. Jojo It turns out that Part 7 has a very bizarre release schedule – one that many would call even worse Jojo Part 6. Still, we await his return and the continuation of the newly started story of Johnny and Gyro.
We already know, based on a confirmation via Netflix, that the next stage of Jojo is coming in Fall 2026. While we don't know the release date yet, we expect the release month to be revealed during Anime Expo 2026. We could also finally learn how many episodes Stage 2 will have, which was the main question fans had about the new anime. Unlike the first phase, the second phase will drop with more episodes, which is a relief.
