Hedgehogs are the newest creatures for players to befriend Disney Dreamlight Valley Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack. Unlike previous expansions that added several critters, Honeyglow Woods only features hedgehogs. Before they can become companions, players will have to find them during their scheduled appearances and feed them their favorite food.

What do hedgehogs eat in VAT?
Hedgehogs have two favorite foods Disney Dreamlight Valley: Golden Honey and Pufflebud Pods. Golden honey comes from the new beekeeping feature introduced in Honeyglow Woods. After placing the bee house, it will produce Golden Honey over time. Production speed depends on the number of flowers surrounding the Bee House, with more flowers shortening the wait. Under ideal conditions, it takes about 10 minutes.
Pufflebud Pods, on the other hand, can be grown from Pufflebud Seeds. To buy seeds you will need to go to your local seed stand and pick up the shopping list lying on the ground near. This will unlock the stall and allow you to buy seeds. After planting, Pufflebud Pods will grow for about 40 minutes.
Hedgehogs will also eat fruit, but it is not their favorite food. Players trying to unlock a hedgehog companion should only feed them golden honey or pufflebud pods. I had a good supply of Golden Honey, so I fed it to the hedgehog.

Hedgehogs can be found throughout Honeyglow Woods. Classic Hedgehog is available in the starting area once players arrive and meet Winnie the Pooh. As you unlock more of the Honeyglow Woods, the remaining hedgehog variants will begin to appear in new regions. Here you can find them all:

How to feed hedgehogs in VAT
Hedgehogs are one of the easiest creatures to befriend in Dreamlight Valley. They do not run or hide when players approach. Just go to the hedgehog, interact with him and give him either golden honey or Pufflebud pods.
Hedgehogs need to be fed their favorite food three different days before they are unlocked as companions. Once this is done, Companions will appear in the menu and can be equipped at any time.
