A popular Xbox feature is causing Death Stranding problems

Xbox's Quick Resume feature, which allows players to quickly return to their games, creates a problem Death Stranding Director's Cutsave function. This issue causes some Xbox Series X/S players to lose their progress and force them to replay parts of the game Death Stranding.

Death Stranding Director's Cut released on Xbox Series X/S on November 7, 2024, five years after the game's original release on PlayStation 4. 1. Press the Xbox button on the controller.
2. Highlight Death Stranding in the Wizard menu that appears and press the Menu button on the controller.
3. Select “Quit”.
4. Select “My Games and Apps” from the Guide menu.
5. If Death Stranding it's listed under “Quick Recovery”, highlight it, press the Menu button on your controller and select “Remove from Quick Recovery”.

Please note that this is not the first time that Quick Resume has caused problems for Xbox players. For example, there was a time when this feature could cause problems with cosmetic items Halo Infinite.
