What to expect from Indiana Jones and The Great Circle in 2025

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Recently released on PC and Xbox consoles with the latest adventure of Dr. Jones, who takes him around the world to fight Nazis and investigate the mystery of the titular Great Circle. The adventure explores several religious and historical mysteries in a way that only Indians can, and it's very clear that MachineGames understands who Indiana Jones is. Of course, a year-end release means there are bright things on the horizon for 2025.

It's a single-player game, so fans should keep all expectations in mind. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle it will undoubtedly get support in the future and its next major updates are already known. Other than that, fans probably have to prepare for Indy to hang up his hat sooner rather than later, but maybe not forever. For those waiting to get into it on their preferred platform, it makes sense that MachineGames and Bethesda will confirm a release date earlier this year. Until then, fans may have to wait and see.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has one post-launch DLC listed: The Order of Giants. However, MachineGames hasn't said much about it yet. For Game Rant Advance, we asked MachineGames if they had anything to share about the DLC, with lead narrative designer Tommy Tordsson Björk telling us:

So eagle-eyed fans might want to check out everything they can find in the Vatican. Some fans believe that this DLC will delve into the Nephilim order introduced in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle but not explored in depth. If so, it will definitely be an exciting adventure, but fans should expect some curveballs.

The biggest question now is when fans will know the PS5 and Order of Giants release dates. While nothing is confirmed, rumors suggest that Xbox is holding a big Direct event in January. It held events in January 2023 and January 2024, but it looks like 2025 could be Xbox's biggest year yet. With games like Avowed, South of Midnight, Doom: The Dark Ages, Towerborne, Fableand Outer worlds 2 currently scheduled for next year, it has something to show for it. It's possible that some games are delayed or mixed up, but if there's a big Xbox event going on, it makes the most sense to showcase Indy's future right there. It might even contain a more significant reveal than this, but the best expectation is just its PS5 release and DLC.

What lies beyond the great circle

Depending on what Indy performs early in the new year, if anything, it may be possible to shift expectations.
