Considering that Grand Theft Auto 5 has been out for almost 13 years and has sold over 230 million copies, you'd assume that almost everything that can be found has been found. Players have found aliens, UFOs, references to Lost and Thelma and Louise, a ghost, and a mansion where everyone you touch dies.
However, it turns out that there was at least one thing left to discover: an errant bottle cap from a famous brand of teas and soft drinks.
Someone just found the Lipton bottle cap in Grand Theft Auto 5
Lipton is a British beverage manufacturer. They make a range of tea bags and bottled iced teas in a variety of flavors. The last place you'd expect it to appear would be GTA 5. But it has.
User chopopoulos shared a bottle cap for a Lipton product, presumably one of his iced teas, among a pile of rotting trash on Reddit.
“While exploring Los Santos today, I came across something that really surprised me. We all know that GTA 5 is known for its parody brands and fictitious companies that imitate real world products without actually using their names. That's one of the things that makes the game world unique. However, while playing I noticed what looks like a real Lipton logo, the first time I stopped, took a closer look, looked in-game. and grabbed this shot screens,” they said.
Now, this is most likely part of an asset pack that the team at Rockstar accidentally missed, but it's still funny to see. It's similar to when players found Heineken beer in Dark Souls 2.
Today was a big day for GTA fans, Rockstar released pre-order and pricing information for GTA 6. It was revealed that pre-orders start at midnight, the game costs $80, runs best on PS5 and PS5 Pro and some content does locked to the more expensive Ultimate Edition.
