A recent leak just teased the existence of a brand new one LEGO a set inspired by the 1984 cult classic Gremlins. According to this leak, this new LEGO Gremlins the set will cost a surprisingly reasonable $25 and will be released on September 1st.
Written by Chris Columbus, directed by Joe Dante and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Gremlins is a 1984 comedy horror film that shows how a small town becomes infested with the eponymous killer creatures on Christmas Day. Over the past four decades, Gremlins has become a cult classic, and various companies often try to capitalize on its continued popularity by producing small wave Gremlins– themed goods. This year it's LEGO's turn.

On May 19th, well-known LEGO leaker Brick Tap published a series of social media posts that purportedly shed light on a handful of the so-far announced LEGO sets due out later this year. One of these leaked LEGO sets was the 40919 Gremlins: Gizmo & Stripe set. According to Brick Tap's anonymous source, this is LEGO Gremlins the set will be released on September 1st and will cost fans $25.

For a long time, but especially in the last few years, LEGO has gained a reputation for being quite expensive. The $25 price tag therefore seems surprisingly reasonable, especially for a set based on a relatively niche franchise. That price tag makes a lot more sense considering this LEGO was leaked Gremlins the set is said to be part of LEGO's BrickHeadz line, a wave that sees iconic characters condense into small, deliberately exaggerated and blocky versions of themselves.

This won't be the first Gremlins-themed LEGO set, however, released In October 2025, LEGO released the Gizmo 21361 LEGO Ideas set. This LEGO retails for $109.99 Gremlins The set contains 1125 pieces and includes a poseable version of the movie's main character, Mogwai, who measures over 8″ tall and over 10″ wide. Gizmo also comes with some 3D glasses built out of bricks and a small splash of water that references one iconic scene from the 1984 film.

More leaked LEGO sets Launching in September
The May 19 LEGO Brick Tap leaks also included some Batman and Pokemon– related rumors. According to Brick Tap, there will also be a LEGO release on September 1st Batman returns The Batmobile set, which reportedly costs $220 and contains 2,272 pieces. Three LEGOs Pokemon The Smart Play sets also leaked to Brick Tap, these were the Gengar and Cubone set, the Charmander and Geodude set, and the standalone Jigglypuff set. All of these sets will be compatible with the new LEGO Smart Brick technology, although none of the three sets will reportedly include the Smart Brick itself.
