All the Free Games You Can Claim in April 2026

Be it through Amazon Luna, Steam, Epic Games Store, or even Itch.io, there are always free PC games available somewhere. The previous month delivered its fair share of great giveaways, and April has been just as good, if not better. At any given moment, there are at least a couple of free games available, and the majority of them are small indie titles that most people are likely not familiar with. While they might not be as initially exciting as triple-A freebies, these types of games can be real hidden gems.

As it can be challenging to keep track of every free game in April 2026, we are going to simplify the process by keeping track of all these giveaways, updating the article as new things are announced and revealed. These freebies tend to only last a couple of days, so it is best to jump on them straightaway to ensure you don’t miss out.

Steam is handing out three more free games, all of which are relatively small but look pretty darn interesting. Stickman Killing Zombie is one of the most self-explanatory titles you are likely to ever find. You play as a stickman, you kill zombies and other monsters.Simple and effective.

Uncanny Tales: Cold Road

Craving a touch of psychological horror? Well, Uncanny Tales might get you there. This series has already produced two games, with another one on the way. Cold Road was the developer’s first effort, and it is a first-person affair that emphasizes human-driven horror rather than supernatural ones.

Nine Hells

A psychological horror adventure game, Nine Hells is a mystery and story-driven experience, with the protagonist walking through Hell in search of the truth. It came out in 2024 and has almost no reviews, so you might be one of the first people to play this game.

Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager

The biggest Steam freebie released in a while, Legend of Keepers is a roguelite turn-based game where you act as a dungeon’s manager. Not only do you have to hire and manage monsters to ensure your dungeons remain safe, but you have to try to climb up the corporate ladder in an effort to get better and better. The concept is silly but charming, especially since we don’t really get many of these types of games nowadays. Legend of Keepers has “mostly positive” reviews on Steam, with a respectable 76% average.

The Stone of Madness

Epic Games Store’s weekly giveaway returns with The Stone of Madness​​​​​​, a real-time tactical stealth game set in a Spanish Monastery. Using 5 characters, players must try to escape, a task that is easier said than done, especially when madness begins to set in. The Game Kitchen is the studio behind The Stone of Madness, and it is mostly known for Blasphemous and Ninja Gaiden Ragebound. This particular release is wildly different from the developer’s other, more famous efforts, and I advise going into it with different expectations, as you will not be getting another Blasphemous. However, The Stone of Madness features the same attention to detail in its world-building and background, while also exploring religious themes. The game is also pretty darn difficult, and players need to balance a lot of different elements.

Undead: Rise of the Betrayed King

The Epic Games Store continues its solid run of April 2026 free games, delivering another indie title that most people have likely never heard of. Undead: Rise of the Betrayed King is an action RPG built in Unreal Engine 5, and it features real-time combat, dragon magic, companions, and a deep progression system. You also play as a dragon, albeit one hiding in the form of a barbarian. I haven’t had an opportunity to try this game yet, so I cannot speak about its quality, but it is hard to argue against this price.

Amazon Luna (Requires Amazon Prime Membership)

Free Games For GOG, Epic Games Store, and Amazon Games

Amazon Prime subscribers nearly always have free games they can claim, and the lineup can include some rather big names like Total War and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands​​​​​​.

I know these freebies require a membership, but 99% of people don’t get Amazon Prime for the games. Once you claim a game, it is yours – no Amazon Prime or Amazon Luna subscription required to play.

Released in 2022, Blood and Zombies is a co-op survival horror shooter with roguelite elements and a tower defense structure. While not that well-known, this is a fairly straightforward indie FPS that is worth a shot if you are looking for something different to play with a few friends. While $14.99 might be a hard sell for this type of indie title, it isn’t bad for a free game.

Game Club “Waka-Waka”

Start and run your own game club with this simulation indie game. Indiegala hasn’t listed an expiration date, so get this while it is hot.

Microsoft has revealed a few of the games coming to Game Pass in April, although the selection will almost certainly expand at some point. So far, Hades 2 is probably the biggest name due to its sheer quality, and Aphelion and Vampire Crawlers are also notable due to being Day One releases.
