Halo Infinite combined the high quality found in the Halo series with a free-to-play structure to restore the franchise as a premier title. Whether it’s Slayer or Big Team Battle, there are multiple gameplay modes and weapons to suit whatever play style you like best.
As great as the other weapons are, it’s the Halo power weapons that take the game to the next level, and fans have long debated whether the energy sword is better than the gravity hammer, or which sniper rifle is the best. Let’s settle this debate and discuss the best powerful weapons in Infinite and how to use them for better map control.

With so many changes to the game as we enter season three, we thought it was a good time to update our list of powerful weapons within Infinite. We’ve included the best use cases for each entry and simplified what is usually considered a powerful weapon in the average kill match.
9 Devastation
The Ravager is by no means the most wanted power weapon in Halo Infinite. But if one appears on the map, it would be a good idea to capture it for your team before your opponents do. The Ravager sprays bursts of plasma that can linger on surfaces and deal damage to players walking on them. Your best bet with Ravager is to work with other members of your team.
You can set up areas of bristling red damage that completely drains the enemy’s shield while your friends wipe them out with precision weapons. Ravager can also be used to gain more map control by placing players in places where they deplete the shield you’ve placed while playing nearby.
8 Cinderella
When you fire the Cindershot, you have to consider how hard light shells will bounce off the walls, so you have to do some trigonometry as you go along. The Cindershot passes the fun test of being able to knock shots off walls and take down unsuspecting Spartans, but in high-level play it’s just not as accurate as you’d want your weapon to be.
Still, using the Cindershot to deplete the shields of enemies trying to hide around a corner is one of the most viable strategies with this weapon. As with Ravager, Cindershot is best used in conjunction with a solid team of teammates on your side, ready to sweep and pick off any opponents that resist the hits.
7 Stalker rifle
The Stalker Rifle is called the Banished Sniper Rifle in Halo Infinite, and in most cases that’s a pretty strong comparison. It doesn’t quite have the range of its UNSC counterpart, but any player who has encountered the Jackals in an Infinite campaign can attest to how powerful this gun is. If you pick up this weapon, make sure you have an idea of ​​where to find the best camping spots on the particular multiplayer map you’re playing on. You’ll want to move somewhere further away so you can take advantage of the range of the Stalker rifle.
6 Hydra
The Hydra has two firing modes depending on whether you hold down the ADS button. Its primary fire mode makes it work as a light missile launcher, but tracking the alternate fire mode and its slower rate of fire require more thought when using it.
