Piers Morgan has ripped into the stars of Harry Potter over speaking out against JK Rowling’s transgender views.

In a recent interview with US magazine The Atlantic, Daniel Radcliffe opened up about the author’s stance. He revealed he hasn’t spoken to Rowling in years.

“It makes me really sad, ultimately,” the 34-year-old star told the outlet.

“Because I do look at the person that I met, the times that we met, and the books that she wrote, and the world that she created, and all of that is to me so deeply empathic.”

During his show Uncensored, the Morgan weighed in on the actor’s comments, calling Radcliffe and his co-star Emma Watson “spoiled little brats”.

“These Harry Potter stars are a bunch of deluded ill-informed spoiled brats,” the broadcaster said.

“The truth is this whole debate now in this country [England] has come full square behind JK Rowling who has never been transphobic.

“I don’t even like J. K. Rowling. She’s abused me for years on Twitter, called me all sorts of terrible names.

“She once said it was absolutely delicious to see me be told to f**k off on American TV so I have no truck with her whatsoever.

“However, on this she has been brave and correct and now the woke worm has turned and come round to J. K. Rowling.”

The outspoken journalist continued: “By the way, if they’re that outraged by how evilJ. K. Rowling is, hand back all the money you’ve made from J. K. Rowling.

“Every dollar of the tens of millions you’ve all raked in because you were very very happy to make money from her and now you want to trash her in public. It’s the worst kind of disloyalty”

Rowling became the centre of a PR storm in 2020 when she mocked an article using the phrase “People who menstruate”.

The billionaire author responded to the story on Twitter, “I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?”

That year Radcliffe responded to Rowling’s stance with a statement that included: “ … I feel compelled to say something at this moment. Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject …”

Emma Watson wrote: “Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren’t who they say they are. I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you, and love you for who you are.”

Last month, Rowling indicated she won’t be able to forgive Watson and Radcliffe after they spoke out against her stance on gender identity.

The writer slammed the actors who appeared in the Harry Potter movies and indicated she would not forgive them after they attacked her stance four years ago.

“Not safe, I’m afraid. Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces.”
