WITH One piece in his final saga, fans theorized who would be the final obstacle for Luffy and the Straw Hat crew when it came time for him to claim the title of Pirate King. There's a good argument to be made for Blackbeard and his crew being the ones to stand up as Luffy's final test. But the more we see of Ima, the more it looks like the head of the world government will be the series' big bad.
Although we haven't seen that much of Ima compared to other antagonists one piece the things Oda has shown so far have made him a terrifying foe that will cause a lot of trouble for Luffy and the gang. The most dangerous thing about Ima isn't that she has the entire world government at her fingertips. Instead, it's his incredibly powerful Domi Reversi technique that seems like it's going to be a huge problem for the rest of the series. This technique essentially transforms the victim, either by impaling them or plunging them into the Abyss, into a demonized version of themselves. It is the ultimate ace up the World Government's sleeve, and at this point there is no clear way to reverse or overcome this process. With that said, here's a quick look at everyone we know has been Domi Reversi'd so far.
Dorry and Brogy
Allies of the Straw Hat crew become the enemy
With the situation escalating on Elbaf, Imu took out two of the nation's greatest assets by flipping the co-captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates. As Broggy tries to rescue the kidnapped children of Elbaf, Gunk gets hold of a possessed Imu, giving them the perfect window to turn Broggy. Dorry and some of the other Giant Warrior Pirates also fell victim to the attack, making things ugly for the Straw Hats and the people of Elbaf and fending off the World Government's attack.
With both co-captains under control, Imu orders Dorry and Brogy to kill Jarul and declare themselves Elbaf's new kings. Gunko, Sommers, and Killingham possess Ima, all still wreaking havoc on the island, so Luffy and co. they have a lot on their plate if they are to save Jarul and protect the people of Elbaf from the wrath of the world government.
Thormann and other giant war pirates
More demonic giants to deal with
Dorry and Brogy were not the only ones affected by Imu's Domi Reversi on Elbafa, as Thormann and a handful of unnamed Giant Warrior Pirates were also caught in the attack and turned into demons. As with their captains, the crew immediately turned hostile towards their former allies and fell under Imu's influence.
With the new Domi Reversi'd members of the Giant Warrior Pirates out to take down Jarul, things are about to get a lot worse on Elbaf. This will be difficult for almost everyone involved since no one knows about Imu Domi Reversi's ability or how it works.
The Rocks family
Targeted Imu because of their bloodline
The God Valley incident showed how evil the world government can be – especially the Sky Dragons. Among the atrocities committed on the island, one of the most cruel was when Imu turned Rocks' father and grandmother into demons. As Davy Clan members, Imu always went after them, but Rocks' actions definitely put an even bigger target on their backs.
Unfortunately, Rocks was forced to kill various Davy Clan members, showing just how devastating Imu's Domi Reversi can be. Unless Luffy or anyone else can figure out how to break Imu's control over her victims, this seems like the only viable way to defeat a Domi Reversi'd opponent.
Rocks D. Xebec
The fall of the legendary pirate finally makes sense
One of the best parts of the Elbaf arc so far has been the flashback that gave us more insight into Rocks D. Xebec's haul. He's been a mystery ever since he was first mentioned in the Wano Country Arc, and due to the fact that he's managed to see the most important pieces of his life that coincide with some One Piece's notable events were Oda's great fan service and world building. However, all fans knew how Rocks' story would more or less end. Although Sengoku said that Garp and Roger teamed up to defeat the legendary pirate, Chapter 1163 finally gave fans the full story.
With the introduction of Imu's Domi Reversi technique, most fans speculated that Rocks—who has been shown to be violent and chaotic, but not downright evil—would fall victim when his time came. So with chapter 1163 showing Imu impaled by the rocks and turned after a combined attack on the world ruler that included Garp, Roger, Big Mom, Whitebeard and Kaido, we can see how things will play out. Imu also demands that Rocks hunt down his wife and son, setting up a tragic end for a character that many fans have enjoyed.
Potential: King Harald
A key piece in understanding Harald's mysterious death?
King Harald has not been confirmed to be Domi Reversi'd, but the brief glimpse we get during the events leading up to his death at Aurust Castle gives the impression that he fell victim to Imu's ability. This would totally explain his demonic appearance in the panel where he is stabbed by his guards, along with why they turned on him, Jarul's injury, and Loki being blamed for killing his father.
No one would have known that Harald, who was a peaceful and understanding king, would fall victim to the Domi Reversi technique. So depicting Loki as an assassin who married his own father would make sense. There are still some missing pieces that Oda needs to uncover, but Harald as Domi Reversi'd 14 years ago seems likely.
