It's soon time to say goodbye to One Piece Anime

The One piece anime is going through a big shift and after anime took a 6 month break last year, it seems that more changes are in store for us. Recently Major One piece there was a live event and there were some big revelations about the anime.

While the information revealed is certainly massive, it's not necessarily great news. Now it's officially revealed The One Piece anime will be on a longer hiatus after the conclusion of the Egghead arc. This break will last from January to the end of March, but that's not all. The One Piece anime will reportedly only have 26 episodes per year. This is terrible news for many avid anime watchers. On the other hand, it could also mean certain improvements in terms of quality.

At the end of 2024, until April 2025, One piece the anime had a pretty long hiatus that lasted over 6 months. This break came out of the blue and fans were not too happy about it. It looks like every One Piece fan's worst fear is now real as it has been officially confirmed One Piece will be on an extended hiatus.

Earlier today there was One Piece NEWS press conference held by the official One Piece account and some major news has been revealed. The biggest of these has to do with anime, and a new break is coming.

In fact, it just turned out that One piece the anime will be on hiatus again, it starts January 2026. This break will last until the end of March and will last longer 3 months in total. Once this break is over, in the anime, the long-awaited Elbaf arc will begin.

Gear 5 Luffy from One Piece

It was also confirmed that One piece the anime will be divided into two parts of 13 episodes eachspread over the course of the year. In other words, there will likely be another hiatus once the first 13-episode series has finished airing. Many are unhappy, especially when the pace of the anime will remain unchanged, and this has now been officially confirmed. At least fans hope that this break will improve the quality of the series.
