Ancient weapons form one of the most important plots One piece. As the name suggests, these weapons were created in ancient times and carry tremendous destructive power. In fact, ancient weapons were said to have the power to destroy the entire world if they fell into the wrong hands.
Such weapons of mass destruction were basically created by none other than the people of the ancient kingdom who had incredible scientific abilities. While the Ancient Weapons were used long ago in the One Piece world and were responsible for sinking it about 200 meters under the ocean, they are still active right now waiting to be used and only a few individuals know of their location.

The Royal Family of Fishman Island
The Fishman Island royal family consists of King Neptune, his three sons and a daughter. Neptune's own daughter, Shirahoshi, is an ancient weapon also named Poseidon, the mermaid princess. Naturally, the family knows about Shirahoshi's true nature and that he will one day help remake Fish-Man Island once Joy Boy reappears.
Everyone was waiting for her powers to awaken and it successfully happened in the Fishman Island arc, especially towards the end when Shirahoshi was able to order the Sea Kings to stop Noem from destroying the entire island.

Caribou
Caribou's main role in the story was to get key information about one particular individual, which we will touch on later. Caribou was in the Fishman Island arc, and while he didn't really play a big role, he successfully eavesdropped on a conversation between the Straw Pirates and King Neptune. Through this, he discovered that the Shirahoshi was an ancient weapon and that it had enough power to destroy the entire world.
Caribou was then seen in Wano one more time. There he overheard the conversation about ancient weapons again. This time he discovered that Pluton's location was underground in Wano and that all he needed to do was open the borders of Wano to release the weapon.

Blackbeard (via Cariba)
Blackbeard was unaware of the location of any ancient weapon until recently. However, Caribou had recently met the Blackbeard Pirates and was supposed to provide them with key information. In fact, it was revealed to fans that Caribou was actually a huge fan of Blackbeard and was the main reason he set sail in the first place.
Now Caribou is going to sell all the secrets to Blackbeard and tell him where Pluto and Poseidon are. This information will have big implications that we absolutely cannot wait for in the second half of the Final Saga of One Piece. It is also highly likely that along with Blackbeard, his pirate crew is also privy to this key information about the ancient weapons. What they do next with this information remains to be seen. It is quite likely that they will invade Wano Country or at least attack Fishman Island. Either way, it puts them in direct contention with the straw pirates, which is something we as fans can't wait to see.

Straw Hat Pirates
Straw Hat Pirates may not be interested in ancient weapons at all. But that doesn't mean they don't know about any weapons. In the Wano Country arc, Nico Robin clearly informed the Straw Hat Pirates that Pluton is actually sleeping under Wano. Robin asked Luffy if he wanted the Weapon, to which he replied that he didn't care.
Still, Luffy and all the other members of the Straw Hat Pirates now clearly know where the Ancient Weapon Pluton lies. This is very interesting and will definitely come into play later. At some point, Luffy is bound to use ancient weapons, and this was also foreshadowed by the Fishman Island arc, which officially states that he is going to destroy the island once and for all. Since only weapons like ancient weapons have the abilities to pull something like this off, it's highly likely that Luffy will use them sooner or later.

Luffy became a Yonk, but he is still not the strongest pirate in One Piece.

Nico Robin (Poseidon)
Nico Robin is part of the Straw Hat Pirates, so he should already be included in the previous entry. He has information on more than one ancient weapon, which the other crew members do not. Nico Robin also knows about Poseidon's position on top of Pluto. She disclosed the location of Pluto to the crew only, while the knowledge of Poseidon still lies with her.
Nico Robin found out this information in the Fishman Island arc, and there it was made very clear to fans that she read the Poneglyph in the Sea Forest and found out the truth about the weapon. He also knows about Joy Boy and his return and it will be interesting to see what this knowledge does to Robin later.

Imu and The Elders
Quite clearly, Imu and the Five Elders know about the ancient weapons and their locations. Fans know that the Elders wanted to see the borders of Wan open up specifically for the location of the ancient weapon Pluton. More importantly, they also have one of the ancient weapons at their disposal. The ancient weapon Uranus was recently revealed to be in Ima's possession, and the Elders used its power to destroy Lulusia after Mother Flame was stolen from Vegapunk.
Now that Vegapunk Lilith has officially sided with the World Government and is officially producing another Mother Flame, it's only a matter of time before Ancient Weapon Uranus is charged up and ready to go again. With more Mother Flame, this weapon will become a nightmare for all who oppose the World Government, as it can sink the islands and with it the world of One Piece even further.

Kozuki Sukiyaki (and Momo and Hiyori, potentially)
Kozuki Sukiyaki is another powerful individual who fans know holds the secrets of ancient weapons. As the Daimyo of Wano, he knows the location of Pluton and was the one who told Robin that this weapon lay underground in Wano. He could also pass this information on to Momo and Hiyori, especially now that they have become Shogun.

Trafalgar Law
When Kozuki Sukiyaki revealed the location of the ancient weapon Pluton, Trafalgar Law was also present on the scene. As such, he is also aware of the location of this ancient weapon. This means that he is more interested in the history of D than why these weapons exist and what their purpose is. Still, this information could come in handy for him later in One Piece.
