Assembly seemingly teasing Hobbit's universes behind the set

Magic: The Gathering loves a bit of universes after these days, as seen in recent crossover, such as Final Fantasy, and the upcoming Spider-Man and Avatar: The Last Airbender Collabs. They had different degrees of success, with files like Final Fantasy, showed up very popular and others like Assassin's Creed not so much.

When they hit, they really hit, so there could be a reason why MTG could take adventure players, because it seems that there may be another Lord of the Rings Crossover on the way. Previously, the wizards of the coast today were enthusiastic about MTG and Lord of the Rings with an official contribution to Magic: The Gathering Instagram Account, which included a video of a slow zoom to Bilbo's house at the end of the bag.

Magic: The gathering seemingly teasing Hobbit's universes behind the set

We know that it is a Bilbo door rather than just a random house in Shire, mostly thanks to the wizards, including the title “Happy Birthday Mr. Baggins”, because the true Lord of the Rings will know that Bilbo's (and Frodo) birthday, also September 22.

It is possible that it could only be a simple Bilbo Baggins celebration, because MTG is now closely tied to the Lord of the Rings, but specifically referring to the beginning of the hobbits can mean Wizards teasing a little more. MTG would also make a lot of sense to see the world of Tolkien as successful stories on Middle -earth were back in 2023.

It seems that this little trailer at least convinced magic: the fans' gathering that Wizards had something on the sleeves to announce, both on the side of the universes behind them and those who don't like them much. Personally, I think other universes with the theme of the rings behind the set give a lot of meaning, but we will have to wait and see if it is a teaser for something big.
