Battlefield 6 The first season launches on October 28th, and after some hands-on time with the new additions, it's clear that DICE and Battlefield Studios have come to play with their new additions to the arsenal. Called Rogue Ops, the first phase of the three-phase first season adds three new weapons for players to play with, and while each has its strengths, one will make exploration players very happy. Tribute to Battlefield 4The Scout Elite's fastest shooting rifle, the Mini Scout Sniper Rifle is an even faster, even smaller weapon with equal viability for Recons looking to wreak havoc on the enemy's rear line. In fact, due to the smaller size of the maps in Battlefield 6can be even stronger. However, that's just one of the reasons why the weapon seems likely to win big when it comes out alongside the first season.
Battlefield 6 is getting a new best sniper rifle
Critical thing for Battlefield 6 Players will notice when using the Mini Scout Sniper that it is fast in every sense. It's quick to cock, quick to reload, quick to aim, and more mobile than other rifles in its class. In theory, this speed comes at the cost of projectile speed and damage, but for several reasons, this trade-off is completely negated in practice.
First off, that low damage number doesn't apply to headshot damage, or at least it didn't in the first season preview event. Added two new maps Battlefield 6 The first season is big, some of the biggest yet, yet the Mini Scout sniper was getting one-shot headshots thanks to the same 1.75x shot multiplier every other sniper has. Moreover, given the aim of most snipers in Battlefield games are for capturing headshots, the occasional bullet damage difference is completely negligible.
The Mini Scout has even more advantages
Another possible problem with the Mini Scout is its projectile speed, but it's not really a big deal at all. It has a base muzzle velocity of 880 meters per second, which seems slow in a vacuum, but is actually the second fastest in the game, behind the M2010 ESR, Battlefield 6default sniper. Throw an extended barrel on it and muzzle velocity won't be an issue.
Additionally, it has tighter recoil than any sniper in the game, a ten-shot magazine, and a higher rate of fire. There is so much to like about this single shooter; it's faster, lighter, just as deadly, and works even better for Recon players who want to get up close and personal. As for the weapon itself, it's really just a plus, but Battlefield 6 gamers anxiously awaiting the release of the first series should beware, as that doesn't mean it won't end up being a problem in other ways.
Unknown variables surrounding Battlefield 6's Mini Scout
The deciding factor for accepting this new weapon depends on how it ends up in the player's hands. Playtest had the gun readily available with all attachments ready to go, but there's virtually zero chance of it being immediately available on day one without strings attached. This is generally a good thing, but unlocking weapons in Battlefield 6 not exactly a walk in the park, as anyone who has tried to unlock PSR will know by now.
Battlefield 6 has already received quite a bit of criticism for how it handles weapon and gear unlocks and how long its challenges are, so Mini Scout may fall victim to the same perceived issues. The lines are further blurred by the new Battlefield 6 Season's Battle Pass. While not yet fully revealed, it will more than likely include some or all of the available blueprints for the weapon.
The new Battle Pass based on the Season One selection may also be how the actual base weapon is unlocked, which wouldn't be unusual when it comes to Battle Passes in other similar games.
Mini Scout is sure to be the next metadata pick for Recon players
Ultimately, these unanswered questions about how the Mini Scout will unlock likely won't be enough to slow the momentum of the new weapon. Sniper weapon class v Battlefield 6 it has few options so any news is good in terms of new additions. It also doesn't hurt that this particular add-on looks set to be best in class, at least for the foreseeable future.
