Temtem: Best Places To Level Up
Looking to level up fast in Temtem? These locations are the best options for doing just that.
In order to cut it as a real Temtem tamer, players will need powerful creatures to help them make it through the game’s competitive environment. Players should go for the best of the best if they want to dominate the competition, and luckily enough, Temtem is filled with powerful creatures to make potent teams with. One of the most unique types of Temtem is Crystal. These hard-shelled, glistening creatures are tough and determined partners for any team composition.
Updated on January 22, 2025, by Mehrdad Khayyat: Usually there is no real ending for an MMO title and Temtem is no exception. No matter how far a player has progressed there is always room for improvement. Finding Temtems and taming them is one of the most enjoyable parts of this game, anyway.
Crystal Temtems are quite important as they have great value when it comes to battling it out against Electric or Mental Temtems. Crystals are also strong against Toxic Temtems, defensive-wise. So, it’s always worth to expand the Crystal roster.

Sherald
Overall Stat: 424
- Sherald cannot be found and tamed in the wilderness.
-
Players must find a Crystle from the following locations and evolve it after 30 levels to obtain Sherald:
- Kupeleleza, Tucma
- Mines of Mictlan, Tucma
- Zadar, Deniz
Sherald is a starter creature in Temtem and a crystal Temtem with a design modeled after a tortoise. Sherald walks on all fours and is covered by a thick green shell made of emerald crystal. Sherald is the second evolution of Crystal, who evolves at level thirty. Sherald’s base stats are average, but it does have a reasonably high DEF stat. Sherald shines in both of the possible traits it could be found with: the Provident trait boosts Sherald’s SPDEF whenever it is hit by an Earth, Fire, or Mele Technique.
The Mirroring trait allows Sherald to reflect thirty-five percent of damage dealt back to the attacker when attacked by a special technique. Unfortunately, Sherald is a rare Temtem and can not be found in the wild. Players’ best bet is to catch a Crystal and evolve it down its evolutionary chain. Crystals can be found in the Mines of Mictlan and Kupeleleza, so players should fast-travel to Tucma for a fair chance.

Myx
Overall Stat: 453
- Myx cannot be found and tamed in the wilderness.
-
Players must find an Occlura from the following locations and evolve it after 18 levels to obtain Myx:
- Kupeleleza, Tucma
- Mines of Mictlan, Tucma
Myx possesses both the crystal and mental types. Its design is very unique, with a black body covered in red and blue crystal and four tentacles protruding from its body. Myx can be acquired with two possible traits: Puppet Master allows Myx to redirect all single target, rival technique damage to its ally when under forty percent HP. Rejuvenate is a less risky route to take as it heals Myx for a base percentage of HP whenever Myx uses a special technique.
With exceptionally high SPATK and SPDEF, Myx would work well with a tanky or aggressive partner. Unfortunately, Myx can not be caught in the wild, and players must find its previous form, Occlura, to get one. Occlura can be found in the Garden of Astlan in Tucma.
7
Innki
Overall Stat: 465
- Innki can be found in Pillars of Highabove, Cipanku.
Innki is a unique Temtem that belongs to two opposite classes, Crystal and Electric. It cannot evolve into anything better and it is not an evolution of any Temtem either. Innki comes with an eye-catching SPD rating of 80. It’s ATK (65) and DEF (61) stats are mediocre though.

These hidden details and secrets are ones that most Temtem players have likely never even noticed.
Innki benefits from Physmaster and Specmaster traits. Thanks to Physmaster, Innki receives a 50% buff on its Physical Techniques, which is a good compensation for its average ATK. Specmaster, on the other hand, increases the damage of Special Techniques by 50%.
6
Shuine
Overall Stat: 486
- Shuine can be found in Kakama Cenote, Tucma.
Shuine is a crystal and water type Temtem with a snake-like body with bright colors. It has green crystal scales with a red-colored snout and gold horns from its head. Shuine has very high STA and SPD stats and average overall ATK and SPATK stats, making it a very solid partner for any tamer. Shuine is also a non-evolutionary Temtem being in its base for life.
Shuine has access to two traits that are an excellent counter to status affecting Temtem: Guardian protects Shuine from negative stat effects as well as preventing it from being afflicted by Doomed, Poison, Frozen, Cold, and Burn. Immunity, while not as versatile as Guardian, excels at preventing Poison and toxin damage. Shuine can only be found in Kakama Cenote in Tucma.
5
Gyalis
Overall Stat: 444
- Gyalis can be found in Mines of Mictlan, Tucma.
With a design similar to that of a praying mantis, Gyalis is a thin Temtem made out of red crystal with two sharp-bladed appendages instead of hands or paws. Gyalis also has a floating crown of red crystals orbiting around its head.
Gyalis possesses the crystal and melee type, which allows it to benefit significantly from the techniques it can learn paired with its high SPD and ATK stats, having the highest base SPD stat among Melee and Crystal Temtem. Additionally, Gyalis excels at not being brought down by rival Temtem adverse effects with its Resistant trait. Resistant reduces the duration of turns that adverse effects such as Burn, Sleep, Poison, and Cold are active by one turn. Gyalis can be found in the Mines of Mictlan in Tucma.
4
Mudrid
Overall Stat: 472
-
Mudrid can be found in the following locations:
- Mines of Mictlan, Tucma
- Barafu Glacier, Kisiwa
- Pillars of Highabove, Cipanku
-
Mudrid can also be obtained by finding a Bunbun from the following locations and evolving it after 25 levels:
- Mines of Mictlan, Tucma
- Gardens of Aztlan, Tucma
- Kakama Cenote, Tucma
Mudrid is the evolved form of Bunbun. It can be acquired in the Mines of Mictlan in Tucma or the Barafu Glacier in Kisawa. Players can also choose to locate a Bunbun and level it to twenty for an easier task.
Mudrid has a design similar to a giant rabbit, the size of a dog with brown fur and green crystal horns and claws. Mudrid has high SPD, ATK, and HP stats, making it aggressive and tanky, giving a team more options in battle. In addition, its Receptive trait allows it to extend the duration of positive effects bestowed on it. Mudrid makes a strong partner to a support Temtem and is one of the coolest designs in the game, which is a bonus.
3
Valash
Overall Stat: 477
- Valash can be found in the Mines of Mictlan, Tucma.
Valash is another single form Temtem that possesses both the neutral and crystal subtypes. Its design can be most related to a dog or badger that walks on two legs, has black and white fur, and has red crystal cestus wrapped around its hands.

Temtem: Best Early Team
There are many islands in Temtem, but building an early team from the right Temtem can dominate the early Dojos.
Valash has high SPD, ATK, and SPATK stats which work in its favor for aggressive play. In addition, Valash’s scavenger trait heals it for a base percentage of HP whenever an ally or a rival is knocked out during combat. Valash is a relatively rare Temtem and only roams in the Mines of Mictlan in Tucma.
2
Tuvine
Overall Stat: 482
- Tuvine cannot be found and tamed in the wilderness.
- Instead, players can find and tame a Tuwai, and then evolve it into Tuvine at the Crystal Shrine.
-
Tuwai can be found in the following locations:
- Chieftain’s Barrow, Arbury
- Sons of Crystal, Tucma
- Dabmis’ Rest, Deniz
- Aisha’s Heart, Kisiwa
- Digital Kami Shrine, Cipanku
- Altar of the Inner Flame, Omninesia
Tuvine is one of the multiple evolutions of Tuwai, and it comes with an impressively strong DEF rating of 111, making it one of the most tanky Temtems in the game. Tuvine also benefits from a decent ATK score, while other stats remain mediocre.
When it comes to traits, Tuvine comes equipped with Receptive and Determined, none of which are exclusive. Receptive helps with increasing the duration of certain status effects applied to an opponent by 1 turn. Determined is a defensive trait that prevents Tuvine from receiving negative stat changes.
1
Zenoreth
Overall Stat: 496
- Zenoreth can be found in Sons of Crystal, Tucma. But it can only be tamed using a TemCardX.
- Otherwise, players can find and tame an Azuroc in Mines of Mictlan, Tucma, and then Trade or Minimonolith it into a Zenoreth.
- Azuroc itself can also be obtained by catching Lapinite from Mines of Mictlan or Garden of Aztlan in Tucma and evolving it.
Stat-wise, Zenoreth is the strongest Crystal Temtem in the game that comes with impressive ATK and DEF ratings of 83 and 91. However, as mentioned earlier it is easier to achieve through evolution rather than taming, though it’s well worth a TemCardX.
Zenoreth comes with Channeler and Wrecked Farewell, both of which are exclusive to this Temtem. The former increases Zenoreth’s damage by 25% when using Special Techniques, while the latter applies -10% STA, -2 ATK, and -2 SPATK to every opponent that knocks Zenoreth out.
