Call of Duty publisher Activision angered fans with its response to Black Ops 6 and Warzone's hit registration complaint, claiming that the problem resulting in “erroneous blood effects” when there were no gunshots is a real problem, but fans aren't convinced. Since the game's launch on October 25th, players have reported numerous issues with Black Ops 6's hit registration. While not everyone may have experienced this problem, many report that their shots are not connecting with their opponents despite being accurate and on target. Now, in a new statement on Twitter, Activision claims that this was the result of “faulty visual blood effects” as opposed to an issue with the game's hit registration.

YouTuber FlexZ even responded with a clip asking the studio to explain that there is no apparent hit registration issue with the game. In the clip, the content creator can be seen landing multiple shots directly on target, but not receiving a single hit marker. Only time will tell if the overwhelming response from the community results in another statement from the studio.
