Black Ops 6 players still can't figure out why they're glowing on vacation in Nuketown

Shine, shine, shine. Merrrrrrrry Christmas.

The game was so well received and retained a large portion of its player base that players are clamoring for the return of a lobby that pairs you with the same player all night long.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 craves old-school lobbies

On the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 subreddit, players reminisced about old-school CoD lobbies. No, not the ones where there was horrendous racist and homophobic abuse, but the ones where you would be matched up against the same opponent match after match and form a 'friendship and rivalry'.

Skill-based matchmaking nearly ended that dream, and a Reddit thread has garnered over 6,000 upvotes and nearly 500 comments, with players lamenting the good old days.

Forward_Geologist_67 was one of the first to comment, saying: “Everyone talks about the old CoD lobbies as war stories where they just bullied and cussed you out all day, but it was also connecting with new people and having a good time. people have formed long-lasting friendships just by playing Call of Duty and talking into a microphone.”

In the thread, Viciouspit also shared a Black Ops 6 story that gave them a taste of how good things can be: “Man, we fought the same guys three times in a row tonight. The first time we won 6-4, the second time they won 6-5 (they got up 4-0 in the beginning), when they backed off the third time, when they saw that it was us again, we were looking forward to the best 3. But it was good. I think of the old days when you played in the same band until one decided to quit.”

Lots of people have made long-lasting friendships just by playing Call of Duty and talking into a microphone.

While many were quick to share their disappointment at the lack of these lobbies, some players were happy to share wholesome stories from their past.

Theweekendwife said: “During Black Ops 2 clan wars my husband and I met and played with two guys from Canada. We added them and played with them for almost two years. In 2016 we went to Canada and met them. Since then , we flew 5 times and met each other and since then we have been connected by a long-distance friendship.”

There have been tons of stories with players talking about long-lasting friendships, but Defiant_Activity_864's was a little different. “When I was younger, I was afraid that the Hadron Collider at CERN was going to create a black hole. So I hopped on CoD 4 to talk to people and distract myself. A lot of adults let me know that the black hole thing wasn't going to happen anymore you can't do,” they said.

You are right; you can't do it anymore Activision please do it.

Forced to go thief. They hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 1990s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as the sole superpower. With a stunning narrative and unfettered rules of engagement, this is quintessential Black Ops.

Black Ops 6's campaign offers dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that spans different game spaces with spectacular backdrops and action moments, high-stakes heists, and stealth-and-dagger espionage.

In a best-in-class multiplayer experience, players will test their skills on 16 new maps at launch, including 12 base 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, a fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand new maps at launch. After launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and game-changing multiplayer and zombie experiences.
