Elite Season 4 Classroom (Youjitsu season 4) once again delivers a great season with interesting episodes and a plot that slowly builds tension for a special test that will take place at the end of the first semester. Although the animation is not as refined as the series One pieceis generally quite decent and pleasant (at least for now).
The sixth episode of the new season is more of a bridge to the upcoming events as classes and students prepare for the test. Because of this, the episode may feel a little slow to some, but sometimes a slower pace is necessary to develop the plot.
Best anime to watch if you like elite class
This great anime has similarities to Classroom of the Elite and is highly recommended for fans of the show.
Preparing for a special test on a desert island
The special test introduced at the end of episode 5 is still months away, but a few rules have already been introduced. Students can form small groups and small groups can form larger groups (up to six members). There are several rules for how groups must be formed, including the proportion of male and female students in certain circumstances.
Students from different classes can be in the same group as long as they are all in the same year. However, cross-class groups will spread the potential points earned across classes, so while being associated with students from “better” classes may be individually better for mitigating risk, it may also be worse for classes with fewer points. Horikita still seems unsure of what strategy would be best to take in this case, but is considering the idea of forming an alliance with the other classes. While this is a risky move, it could allow for a three-class alliance against A-class, putting the top class at serious risk.

However, Horikita believes that Class A will make a move to prevent this (and he is right, as Sakayanagi suggests an alliance with Ichinose to prevent the three classes from sabotaging Class A). Horikita waits to see how the other class members will react and asks D-class not to associate with anyone just yet. In fact, he seems to have little interest in forming a block against Class A.
The real risks of a special test
The biggest risk in “Desert Island Survival Game Special Test” is elimination. According to the rules, students in the bottom five groups will be penalized and expelled. They could be saved with points, but Horikita wants to avoid a situation where many D-class students will be in the bottom groups because their class points are not enough to save everyone. In addition, if all members of the group (or the student taking the test alone) are unable to continue the test and withdraw, they will be penalized, leading to expulsion.
Despite Horikito's instructions, the D-class student joined the group with the two B-class members (but after openly talking about it with her classmates). The problem is that the student in question is Satsuki Shinohara, the girl Kanji Ike has fallen in love with. Although Satsuki seems to reciprocate Kanji's feelings, they haven't talked about it together. Additionally, the person who invited Satsuki to join their group was Kyogo Kamiya, a B-class guy who apparently wants to confess his feelings for her during the test. While this wouldn't normally be a big deal in itself, Ayanokoji and Horikita are a little worried that the love triangle might undermine Ike's performance during the test.

As for Ayanokoji, he decided to take the test himself. This is probably the best strategy for him since another special test, one where freshmen are awarded points if they receive Ayanokoji's expulsion (introduced in the first four episodes of the new season), will last until the end of the first term. In addition, several students receive flashcards through the school app that can help or complicate their situation on the test. Ayanokoji received a “trial card” which increases the class points earned by 50%, but if he is not in the top 30%, his group will be penalized. He seems confident that he can take the top spot (no wonder he's often called the smartest character in anime history). However, he has yet to find out who the White Room student is among the freshmen.
What can you expect this season?
The survival game will take place at the end of July. Since the season will cover the first period, it suggests that the season will close with the results of this test. This episode was more of a foreshadowing of the tension we will see during the test. With many groups still to be formed, the next episode will probably still focus on the test preparations, especially after Horikita determines the best way to save the D-class students from expulsion. Although the fourth season is a continuation of the story, it is a great entry point into the franchise.

Elite Season 4 Classroom is a weekly series and the next episode will be released on April 22, 2026, barring sudden changes. Anime is streamed on Crunchyroll in most regions and territories where the service is available, but may also be available on other regional services. Crunchyroll is only adding sub-episodes so far, but the English dub has already been confirmed (as well as the other language dubs).
