Behavior Interactive have confirmed that the popular 2v8 game mode will return Dead by Daylight with major content and gameplay updates this November. This updated version of 2v8 features new playable Killers, maps and more that you will love Dead by Daylight mode stands out from its previous iteration.
The Dead by Daylight The 2v8 game mode debuted on July 25th and remained available until August 15th. The mode was originally planned to remain in the game until August 8, but the positive response from Dead by Daylight players convinced the developers to extend the initial run by exactly one week. Head of Production Stefan Beauchamp noted that the team's goal is to make 2v8 a permanent mode Dead by Daylight in the future, player feedback from the initial run will be used to modify and improve the mode. Almost three months after the mode was pulled from the game, 2v8 is back with new additions.
2v8 will be back Dead by Daylight November 12th as a limited time mode running until November 26th. The updated version of 2v8 incorporates community feedback to offer more content and tweaked gameplay, including new playable Killers, new maps, and the addition of active abilities. Playable assassins for the second iteration of 2v8 include The Trapper, The Wraith, The Hillbilly, The Nurse, The Huntress, The Blight, The Spirit, and The Deathslinger. Behavior Interactive also confirmed that all Dead by Daylight Survivors will be playable in 2v8 when it returns. In addition, new 2v8 versions of the Yamaoka Estate and Grave of Glendale maps will be available in the limited-time game mode, along with additional maps for the mode's existing Realms.
Dead by Daylight Brings Back 2v8 for a limited time starting November 12th

To level the playing field in 2v8, Dead by Daylight the developers will introduce Active Abilities for Survivors along with improved Unlock Abilities. The Guide, Medic, Escapist, and Scout Survivor classes will have access to two unique abilities, and unlockable abilities have been tweaked to provide unique benefits for each Survivor class. These perks are available after being sent to the cage and give players a chance to turn the game around for their fellow survivors. Active abilities charge over time and can be activated to pick up and repair broken pallets, increase repair speed bonuses, and instantly recover from Dying.
Assassins will have four different classes to choose from, each suited to their preferred playstyle. The four Killer classes are Shadow, Brute, Enforcer, and Fearmanger. Shadow encourages players to sneak up on survivors and surprise them; Brute emphasizes ruthless attacks during chases; The Enforcer specializes in finishing off wounded survivors; and Fearmonger helps his fellow assassin by improving map movement.
According to Product Director Justin Brown, the development team doesn't want players to wait months to play 2v8. Dead by Daylight forward. The developers aim to maintain a similar and consistent approach to 2v8 in future iterations, meaning players can expect a lot more Dead by Daylight update in 2025.
