Guntouchables is an online co-op shooter with roguelike elements, played from a top-down perspective. The action game is scheduled to be released in early access on Steam in Spring 2025. It revolves around four unlikely heroes, or Doomsday Preppers, who fight for survival against hordes of terrifying mutants in a post-apocalyptic world. The The surviving vampires-like title supports co-op sessions for up to four players in total and features four different survivors to choose from, namely Alfred the Sharpshooter, Mr Bang the Commando, Karen the Scouter and Marcus the Doctor. Each of these playable characters comes with their own skills and offers unique power-ups. While Alfred's focused fire deals double damage, Mr. Bang can use heavy grenades to take out swarms of mutants.

Guntouchables offers a Roguelike gameplay loop with a twist

According to the developers, what separates Guntouchables from other co-op roguelike titles is how the player's enemies evolve with them. To be more specific, as players progress through the game and unlock new power-ups—like the ability to pause and perks like health buff and speed buff—mutants also get better and more challenging. After successfully clearing a level, players must vote and choose how the mutants will evolve in the next mission. For example, they can choose between speeding up mutants, or giving them the ability to spread fire, or equip them to cause “chain lightning” to stun the player.

Ghost Ship Publishing Executive Director Soren Lundgaard described Guntouchables as a co-op shooter with “addictive elements” and called it a “great fit” for the publisher. On the other hand, Game Swing CEO Martin Kai Sommer bet big on the upcoming game, calling it the “culmination” of the indie studio's more than a decade of experience. When Guntouchables comes out next year, it will be interesting to see if the game released by Ghost Ship picks up any of what it does Deep Rock Galactic so engaging.
