With the holiday break approaching, Bungie is teasing the upcoming exotic changes to come Fate 2 in January along with the start of Act 3. Act 2 entered a slow period of giving Fate 2 Players have a chance to catch up on content or get specific loot types before Act 3 arrives on January 7th.
To help with the downtime, Bungie also released the annual event Dawning v Fate 2. While most of the action remains the same as it has been for years, gathering ingredients and baking cookies for NPCs, this year adds a community challenge, a new Void linear fusion rifle, and a dragon-inspired armor set. With that happening and the holidays quickly approaching, Bungie decided to set up fan expectations for the new year.

For many fans, the big news has come even further as Bungie has revealed a few details about the new update that is set to arrive on January 14th. While specific weapon archetypes and weapon perks are being tweaked, Bungie is also highlighting 3 specific exotic items that are also changing. . The Stoicism exotic class gets a bug fixed for Spirit of Alpha Lupi, and the Malfeasance hand cannon gets a boost since it previously lacked the internal effects of the Precision Hand Cannon perk. However, the Graviton Lance exotic pulse rifle is getting nervy as Bungie has indicated that it dominates the lower and mid skill lobbies. To prevent this, the Graviton Lance gets its RPM reduced back to 300, as it was before the Act 2 update.
This is likely to be the first major update Fate 2 sees after the holiday break, with the latest patch finally addressing the pesky bug. Recently, players discovered a frustrating bug related to Tomb of Elders tonics that amplified the incorrect drop rate of weapons. While bugs and issues were prevalent during Episode Revenant, Fate 2 received a new update that finally fixed this issue.
