The recent beta for version 5.3 updated the ID list for upcoming characters Genshin Impactname change of Kimitsuki Ayano to Mizuki. While the first half of Natlan introduced some new additions to the meta like Xilonen and Kinich, version 5.3 is set to round out Citlali and Mavuika. The former is a Shield Support capable of buffing Melt teams, while the latter should be the strongest Pyro hypercarry v Genshin Impact – albeit at the cost of team flexibility.

The second half of Natlan will begin with the debut of a new character, Standard Banner Genshin Impactwho will also be her first Inazuma character. While it was originally thought to be Kimitsuki Ayano, an earlier leak mentioned a 5-star character named Mizuki. She is expected to be released in 5.4, although it remains to be seen if Iansan will join her on the event banners as a 4-star character.

A reliable source in the Genshin Impact community reveals the element and rarity of Ayano and Varesa, with the latter also hinting at Iansan's rarity.

According to HomDGCat, the name for Kimitsuki Ayano has been finalized and she will be known as Mizuki in the future. Mizuki as the 5-star character Anemo of Inazuma is expected to perform during the future Natlan flagship. The people of the springs were recently warned that Inazuman would open a shop in their village. Many players assume that this is an attempt by the game to foreshadow Mizuki, similar to Chiori v Genshin Impact was hinted at through the characters' voice lines.

List of upcoming characters in Genshin Impact means that Mizuki will come immediately after Lan Yan and that players will be able to wish for her on event banners starting February 12, 2025. However, Mizuki is expected to be a standard 5-star character, and as such it would be reasonable for Genshin Impact players to be the first to obtain her signature weapon. As seen with Hunter's Path and Beacon of the Reed Sea, there is no guarantee that Mizuki's Signature Weapon will ever return outside of Chronicled Banner.


It should be noted that Genshin Impact likely to introduce a banner change in version 5.3. Going forward, all new characters are expected to appear on event banners throughout the duration of the patch. Since Mizuki is expected to be the only 5-star version of 5.4 as of now, it remains to be seen how this banner format will tie into character replay. Players will be able to learn more during a special program live for version 5.3.
