The late Akira Toriyama will be a permanent figure in anime history, paving the way for every author who came after him.
It is widely known that Goku is the strongest character in the Dragon Ball series. However, there are many others who have the same power and who have achieved amazing feats throughout the series. One of the most popular characters is Goku's son Gohan. While Gohan may not be the fighter that his father is, he still has a large list of accomplishments made all the more impressive considering that some of his most OP moments happened when he was just a kid. The Dragon Ball the films are not directly considered canon, but ignore their contribution to the legacy Dragon Ball he would be doing them a disservice. At the top of the list, one of Gohan's most impressive moments is his fight with the alien space pirate Bojack.
By chance, Bojack ended up on Earth and wreaked havoc. The Z fighters quickly met him on the battlefield, sans Goku but including the Future Tribes. Bojack tore through the earth protectors, taking them all at once and barely breaking a sweat. It wasn't until Gohan left his limits that he turned on Bojack and his group, obliterating them in an instant.
Gohan Decimates The Cell Jr's
Cell's Tournament goes off the rails
One of Gohan's most notable arcs was during the Cell Saga. A perfect android has engineered a tournament to determine the fate of the world and offered the Z fighters a chance to fight for its survival. The final battle came down to Gohan vs. Cell, a clash full of unexpected moments, including Gohan being the first to reach Super Saiyan 2.
As soon as Gohan let go of his limits, after seeing his loved ones beaten and bruised, he was pushed to the edge while giving up his restraint. Cell Jr. they were gutted by individual blows that showed how strong Gohan had become in a short amount of time.
He briefly overpowers Frieza's second form

Frieza is one of the most sinister villains in all Dragon Ball. After fighting almost every living Saiyan, one of Freiza's most devastating attacks came at the hands of young Gohan on Namek. Freiza transformed into her second form and started playing with Krillin, Gohan and Vegeta.
Unfortunately, Frieza pushed Gohan too far by impaling Krillin and tossing him aside as trash. Gohan became enraged and surprised even Vegeta when he tried to end the arc early and take out Frieza himself, coming closer than expected.
Gohan unleashes his full potential against Super Buu
The new and improved Gohan makes light work of Super Buu
During the Buu Saga, Gohan went through a series of changes and adventures. One of them led him to the Supreme Kai Realm, which unlocked Gohan's potential and gave him unmatched power. Gohan's newfound power in his ultimate form rendered his Super Saiyan transformation obsolete and remains one of the character's most famous transformations.
Upon arriving on Earth, Gohan faced off against Super Buu, who up until this point had appeared to be unbeatable. In a shocking display, Gohan made Buu look like a child, surpassing him in strength, speed, and power.

One punch brings a perfect Android to its knees
One of Gohan's crowning achievements is unlocking Super Saiyan 2 during the Cell Saga. Backed into a corner with the weight of the world on his shoulders, Gohan finally snapped after one last demand from Android 16, which was quickly snuffed out by Perfect Cell. Gohan's full power was enough to make Cell tremble in his presence, but what followed this transformation is one of the most impressive feats in Gohan history.
With a single punch to Cell's stomach, Gohan nearly rendered the cocky opponent helpless. Cell's body was dealing with too much pain and reacted to the blow by forcing him to expel Android 18, returning him to his semi-perfect form.

In the early days Dragon Ball Z, before interstellar battles and godlike transformations, Gohan's power was foreshadowed very early on. During the arrival of Raditz, Gohan was kidnapped in an attempt to force Goku to submit.
Unfortunately for Raditz, it backfired during his fight against Goku and Piccolo, when Gohan lost, he watched as his father was injured and was powerless to stop him. In a fiery display, Gohan burst out of the Saiyan pod and met Raditz head on. Raditz was taken aback and shocked to be overpowered by a child.
Going Beast
Gohan is once again pushing his limits
Dragon Ball: Super Game• reintroduced the red ribbon army Dragon Ball universe and puts Gohan and Piccolo in the spotlight. Many fans saw Gohan as languishing on the sidelines, but this movie gave both main characters considerable admiration for their abilities.
The vile Red Ribbon Army not only produced two super soldiers, but even revived the android Cell in a terrifying new form. Gohan had to reach deep within himself to unlock a new transformation called the Beast. While not much information has been given about this new form, it's impressive to see Gohan achieve something his father didn't.
Fight Android 17 and 18 single-handedly
Alternate timeline Gohan gives everything
The alternate timeline where Future Trunks came to the present to warn the Z Fighters is one of the darkest outcomes for Dragon Ball universe. After defeating all the main fighters, Gohan defends the front line alone while training young Trunks, costing him a hand in the process.
The final battle between Future Gohan and the Androids begins, and even though the Androids are incredibly powerful, Gohan gives his all and makes his final stand. One-armed and focused, this is one of Gohan's best moments in the series, even if it ends with his tragic death.
