GTA 6 fans may want to circle May 21st on their calendars

Grand Theft Auto 6 Fans patiently waiting for more news may want to circle May 21, 2026 on their calendars, as Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive has set the date for its next quarterly earnings call. With the end of April approaching, the one year anniversary is fast approaching Grand Theft Auto 6the second trailer, which was also accompanied by a new website and lots of new screenshots. Unfortunately, this was also the last time the community received any major news about the long-awaited title, aside from delays.

Waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6 was not as excruciating as The Elder Scrolls 6but with only two trailers in three years, fans are desperate to see more from one of the most anticipated game releases of all time. In May 2025, Rockstar left fans disappointed by confirming the rumors Grand Theft Auto 6 was pushed back to May 26, 2026. Given the studio's history of delays, the news was somewhat unsurprising. But just days later, Rockstar softened the blow by releasing the game's second trailer, dozens of gorgeous screenshots, and an updated website with location and character details. The title should then be delayed again in November 2025, but this time no trailer accompanied the news.

Take-two sets of data for the next quarterly earnings call

In true Rockstar fashion, there has been no good news from the studio for almost an entire year. Fortunately, it looks like it might be coming to an end. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has now confirmed that its next quarterly earnings call will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026. For those who may not know, quarterly earnings calls are scheduled conferences that allow studio management to reveal financial news for the past quarter. This results in frequently updated sales data Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption 2and other titles from the Take-Two studio.

The calls also show shareholders questioning Take-Two about upcoming releases and other business items, and led to the company's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, commenting Grand Theft Auto 6 several times in the past. There's a good chance Zelnick will reveal something less important about the title during the call. For example, the latest earnings call confirmed that marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6 will officially start in the summer.

However, big news may come weeks before the call. Last year's second trailer and disappointing delay were filmed just two weeks before Take-Two's earnings call, and while we hope another delay isn't imminent, many believe the third trailer may be released before May 21, as it often boosts Take-Two's stock just in time for the investor conference.

However, Zelnick has already started saying marketing will begin in the summer, which technically doesn't start until June. This could mean that no news will be shared in the build-up to the call, or the studio could kick things off a little earlier with a third trailer, followed by a few weeks of silence before it kicks off later in the year. It remains speculation for now, but given the history of these earnings, there's a good chance Zelnick will at least give fans an update on Grand Theft Auto 6November release date.
