Hogwarts Legacy 2 it's a matter of if, not when, so it's only natural that fans have fired up their ideas for the next entry in the franchise. Some players want to see the right decisions and consequences of using Unforgivable Curses, others want more class focus, and many want more challenging combat with a greater variety of weapons. But above all, many players shared their desires for a deeper House system in Avalanche Software's sequel to the 2023 mega-hit.
original Hogwarts heritageThe view of Houses wasn't terrible, just limited. The House Cup was awarded to the player's chosen house after completing the Field Guide, making the iconic aspect of Hogwarts feel largely unearned. Not all house-exclusive quests seemed to be equal, and one house even lacked an accompanying quest line entirely. While some aspects of the original game's system can certainly remain the same – house selection affecting outfit options was fun and immersive – there are plenty of options for Avalanche to elevate the four iconic factions. Harry Potter.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 is expected to be released in 2027 or 2028, as WB has said that its biggest game franchises will return in those years. with Harry Potter With an HBO series coming next year and Avalanche Software ramping up quickly, that window certainly seems viable.
How Hogwarts Legacy 2 can solve the house problem

A meaningful House Cup

Romance/deeper bonds with roommates
First and foremost, making the House Cup something extra to strive for, as opposed to just a guaranteed unlock, would be a neat mechanism to make House selection matter. To achieve this, a simple point mechanism could be introduced where players get points for everything they do in their game. Every difficult enemy defeated, side quest completed, and animal rescued could increase the player's score of the selected house, while death, cruel dialogue choices, and use of curses could decrease the score. If classes in Hogwarts heritage take on a more meaningful role in the sequel, arriving late or on time can affect your score, while success or failure in minigames can also change the order.

The House Cup could also rely on winning house-specific competitions. Obviously, Quidditch is the most prominent example of domestic battles in this country Harry Potter space and hopefully it will be playable Hogwarts Legacy 2 even if Quidditch Masters there is Additionally, House vs. House on a broom, fighting tournaments, collectible mini-games and so on, again giving players a chance to gain or lose points. If there is a real-time leaderboard, players could also keep a close eye on which House is in second place and do their best to prevent them from scoring points.
Outside the domestic cup, Hogwarts Legacy 2 has several ways to influence house selection in the main game loop. If dialogue options are introduced, they could open up more solutions to situations – perhaps choosing a Gryffindor could open up a bold side path that shortens a combat encounter, while the player's chosen Slytherin could open up some sneaky ways to avoid enemies. Housemasters could teach players a House/exclusive spell to change up gameplay a bit, while spending more time with companions from one's chosen house could unlock relationship and/or romance exclusive rewards.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 must avoid its Ravenclaw bug
While House Cups, special dialogue and choices, and exclusive spells would go a long way to making houses better, the most important thing Avalanche Software can do is make all houses feel the same. If the exclusive House main quests return, it's key to make sure no player feels left out – many were jealous of Hufflepuff's trip to Azkaban in the first game. The exclusive story quests have to be just as enjoyable next time, otherwise they really aren't worth going for. Each house also needs an accompanying set of tasks; he had nothing in the original Ravenclaw game, so this time he needs his own version of Polly, Sebastian, and Natsai. If this clear weakness is addressed and steps are taken to make the House Cup feel less tight next time, then the House option could actually be exciting, as opposed to just serving as a gateway to changing rooms and other common rooms.
