There are many standard classes in the RPG genre – like wizards and warriors – but Shadow of Mordor's Talion is a mix of two RPG classes that are generally different from each other. Ultimately, his ability to move silently and remain undetected before surprising his enemies comes from what would typically be defined as the rogue class in the RPG genre. However, Talion can also eliminate enemies from a distance with Azkar, his bow, making him what the RPG genre might call a ranger or hunter. Ghost of TsushimaJin Sakai isn't too different as he has similar skills and weapons at his disposal, making him the same mixture of RPG classes.
Aptly named “Ghost of Tsushima”, Jin Sakai specializes in using stealth to subdue his enemies, despite such methods being largely frowned upon by the Shogun. Similar to Talion, Jin uses tall grass and other large objects to hide from sight before grabbing his enemies and silently killing them. Jin is also great at using his bow to take out enemies from a distance, and can even do it without ever getting caught.

Jin Sakai also shares a certain thematic element with him Shadow of Mordor counterpart in that these two are tasked with protecting their territory from danger. Although the story of his quest revolves largely around avenging the murder of him and his family at the hands of Sauron's forces, his job before being resurrected by Celebrimbor's specter was to stand guard at the Black Gate of Mordor and protect Middle-earth from any threats attempting to leave. Similarly, Jin Sakai inherited his role as the protector of Tsushima Island after many of its people were killed by the Mongol invasion. His quest is also revenge, even though the uncle he spends most of the game trying to save is still alive.
Ghost of Tsushima and Shadow of Mordor both can be compared Assassin's Creed at times, but they are probably more alike than others. Ghost of Tsushima successfully replicated Shadow of Mordor in the design and rendition of its protagonist, Jin Sakai, combining two RPG classes and similar themes, though Jin and Talion are both notable in their own ways.
