Recovering from a difficult start, Cyberpunk 2077 has grown into a worthy game full of fascinating characters and lore. Between last year's 2.0 game change and the update Phantom Liberty DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 proved itself as a sci-fi epic. Now that the sequel, codenamed Project Orion, is officially underway, many of the questions surrounding the sequel have revolved around how it will improve on its predecessor.
Despite its impressive improvements, Cyberpunk 2077 still has room to grow, which is why a sequel is such an exciting prospect. There are a number of ways to take Project Orion to even greater heights, and one of the most powerful improvements that should be at the fore is found in the game's options. Cyberpunk 2077 it offers several romantic relationships to form with specific NPCs, but the options are lacking when it comes to the RPG genre.

How Project Orion Can Improve Cyberpunk 2077's Romance Options
More NPC Romance options are a must
Although there are a variety of brief romantic encounters that V can have with characters and toys, there are only four NPCs to choose from when it comes to forming an actual relationship. Cyberpunk 2077The romance options being limited to only four characters probably helps keep the game's story more concise, but it can also be a point of frustration.
- Judy Alvarez
- Panama Palmer
- River Ward
- Kerry Eurodyne
When comparing Cyberpunk 2077 to the similar ones Baldur's Gate 3it's clear that the former needs to improve his romance options. All four characters offered as relationship options are compelling on their own, but at least doubling the number of NPCs in Project Orion would make this aspect of the role-playing much stronger.
Completing the sidequests for these four romance options will unlock their apartments, allowing V to visit.
Make romance NPCs less restrictive
Another disadvantage Cyberpunk 2077The thing about romantic options is that they are incredibly limiting. Depending on whether players choose the female or male version of V, their choices are even more limited. For example, Judy Alvarez will only romance a version of V with a female body and voice. On the one hand, this can help create an NPC's personality and story in an effective way, but it can also take away from one's desire to live the life they desire in Night City. Baldur's Gate 3 she balances her relational limitations quite well. Players can fall in love with characters regardless of orientation and gender, but some characters are open to polyamorous relationships while others are monogamous.
Project Orion brings Cyberpunk 2077 to a new level
Building a life in the night city
Building relationships in Cyberpunk 2077 it may have its challenges, but getting more freedom in Project Orion would make the world of Night City much more realistic in the long run. Since the game is still in the very early stages of development, it will likely be a long time before further news of a sequel emerges. However, when that day finally comes, it will be fascinating to finally see how CD Projekt Red excels at making the sequel stand out while maintaining the energy of the first game.
Joytoys will sleep with V regardless of gender, but players cannot develop deep relationships with them.
After a long and rocky road, Cyberpunk 2077 has finally become a popular RPG. This may mean expectations are high for Project Orion, but at least CD Projekt Red had the opportunity to hopefully learn from its early mistakes. Bounce back from a controversial start Cyberpunk 2077 not an easy task to do, and now that the developers have more knowledge under them, Project Orion has a chance to go even further with many of its concepts. In this regard, romance options are a great starting point.
