Fishing in Fields in Mistria is fairly easy, but if you plan on completing the Fishwing in the museum, you'll need to hunt in almost every area. The fish that appear will be affected by the type of water you are fishing in, the shade of the fish and the weather. You should be able to get any seasonal fish Mistriabut if you're going for Legendary Fish, you'll want to work on improving your fishing skills. There are four legendary fish in total, one for each season.

You will not be able to catch a legendary fish until you reach level 30 in the fishing skill and bought Legendary Perk for 80 Essence. Once you have it, you'll sometimes get a notification of a nearby legendary fish at the beginning of a new day. It will appear directly below the calendar date and any birthdays. As mentioned, there's only one legendary fish per season, so instead of all four at once, you'll only get alerts for one type of fish.
The best way to level up Fishing is to fish and dive. It can be difficult to determine how much experience you gain from fishing, but if you make a habit of fishing every day, your fishing skills will increase. It may also help if you get Tier 1 and Tier 2 benefits. Here are some to consider:
- Weedline Watcher (Tier 1): Spamming will be less likely. It costs 15 Essence.
- Attractive Reel (Tier 1): Fish are attracted to your Bobber from a larger range. It costs 10 Essence.
- Perfect Catch (Tier 2): Uncommon and rare fish become more common. It costs 40 Essence.
You can catch Legendary Fish with a “weaker” fishing rod, but we strongly recommend that you purchase (or craft)
Silver fishing rod
. This allows you to cast your line further than you can with a worn/copper/iron fishing rod.

Cherry Fish appear in spring on windy days. You can check the weather with crystal ball furniture. If there is a picture of a cherry blossom inside, it means that the next day will be Windy with Cherry Blossoms. You can only catch Cherry Fish in ponds, so make your way for the southern half of The Eastern Road. There is a large pond that you can fish across the bridge, or you can fish in the pond in the lower right corner. Remember, you'll want to keep an eye out for small shadows. If you don't see any, leave the area and come back to “feed” the fish.

Lightning fish only appear in summer when there is a storm. Medium-sized fish can be found in the rivers, but the river below the bridge is the best search The Narrowsthe south of the museum and Errol's house.

You can find leaf fish in the river on the east road in autumn during windy weather. There's only one river on the East Path, and it's right by the bridge you repaired for one Mistriastory quests. Similar to the Cherry Fish, the Leaf Fish appears as a small shadow in the water.

Beach |
The Snowfish, as its name suggests, is a winter legendary fish and can be found in the ocean on the beach when it is snowing. You can cast your line into any body of water on the beach, but you'll want to keep an eye out for medium-sized shad. To limit running from one end of the beach to the other, pick one spot along the shoreline and fish there. Ocean Fish can be “refreshed” by entering/exiting the Tackle Shop or The Beach.
Where to use legendary fish
Can you sell them?
You cannot sell legendary fish or place them in aquariums in your cabin. The only way to use Legendary Fish is to donate them to the museum. Once you donate all four legendary fish, you will receive one of the rewards for completing the Fish Wing set. Depending on how many sets you completed before turning in the Legendary Fish, the content will vary. Basically, you get a new piece of furniture and a recipe for crafting it, as well as a treasure box. The more Fish Wing sets completed, the higher the quality of the treasure chest.
