Can you cancel the animation on your phone?
Genshin Impact it has a very straightforward combat system. You have the option to use your Normal attacks to spam quick attacks, charged attacks to use up some stamina to unleash a stronger blow, or use your elemental burst or skill to perform a specific elemental attack.

A shocking choice
However, combat is more sophisticated than you might think at first glance, and there are many ways to increase the damage your characters can deal. While Animation Cancels don't directly increase the amount of screen pops, they are a core mechanic in the game for characters with absurdly long animations, even doubling your damage in certain cases.
What does cancel animation mean?
Each input in the game is associated with a specific animation. While these animations are usually beneficial, Allowing you to see your character perform any particular action can be a hindranceespecially when trying to combine things or perform different actions quickly.
This is especially true for backup animations that occur after an attack is performedsuch as
Hu Tao's stop animation after each charged attack.
To work around this and get better results, you can use a technology called Animation Canceling to completely remove these backup animations to its maximum performance.
Why cancel the animation?
There are several advantages to not being forced to see the entire animations. First, allows you to enter actions instead of waiting for relatively longer animations, such as
Nahida's Charged Attack or
EulaNormal Attack combo.
Another reason to perform a cancel animation is when you need to reset your character's normal attack count. This is because certain characters have higher damage values for specific attacks.
For example, if your first two attacks do 200% damage and your third only 100%, after the first two hits you can cancel your combo and repeat it.
Dash Canceling also makes it easier to dodge enemy attacks with dash immunity frames.
Burst Cancels help you recharge without wasting time waiting for the particle to appear. This helps a lot in teams with energy hungry characters like Xiangling.
Especially for characters like Hu Tao, another benefit of canceling the animation is placement. Since Hu Tao covered quite a distance with her charged attack, that's right very easy to get too far away from the enemy you are attacking. This becomes even more of a problem when you're facing multiple enemies, as you can automatically switch to a target you don't want to prioritize.
finally the main use of Animation Cancels is to use ICD. While most attacks cannot trigger reactions on every hit, there are specific ones that can. You can increase the speed of these reactions even more by using Cancel Animation.
How to cancel the animation?
Canceling an animation comes in many different ways, as there are lots of inputs that take precedence over animations. Dash Cancels are the most versatilewhich can be used with any character to increase their DPS. Jump cancellation they are a close second in terms of viability but they are much slower than commas and may encounter some problems.
There are also more specialized cancels like Swap or Burst Cancels which, while not as good as the previously mentioned ones, can reduce rotation times.
They finally exist character specific to bow users and to Neuvillette which can drastically increase your DPS under the right circumstances.
How to cancel a dash?
Once the animation's damage threshold is met, a dash immediately follows either by right-clicking, tapping the sprint button, or using whatever console-specific button you use to dash. Dash Canceling is the fastest and most efficient way to cancel an animation for most characters.
We use the C1 Hu Tao to demonstrate the flick in the video. Although there is no difference in damage output, C0 Hu Tao will do fewer attacks.
However, Dash Cancelling has some significant weaknesses. This is mainly for characters without a bow who use charged attacks. Since dashing uses stamina and you need stamina to perform your attacks, you can drain it very quickly. This makes Dash Canceling significantly worse for characters like Keqing or Hu Tao (unless you have her C1).
How to cancel jump?
Canceling a jump is a bit more difficult than traditional dash canceling and it's usually slower too. To do this, you need to understand when the damage has gone through and then give the jump command immediately.
Unlike Dash Cancelling, you can inadvertently cancel the damage itself if you do it too soonwhich can be a huge detriment to your overall DPS. It's important to avoid this if you want to use Cancel Jumps effectively.
Jump Canceling can also counter problems fighting large enemies with weird hitboxessuch as the Perpetual Mechanical Array. This is because you can fit into their hitboxes and get stuck trying to jump. In such cases using no cancellation may be better.
How to cancel a goal?
Where most Genshin Impact weapon types work in much the same way, Bow users have access to a special aiming mode for their charged attacks. This feature is mainly for characters with special charged missiles like Ganyu or Tighnari.
However, even for Normal Attack users like Yoimiya, the mechanic gives you the ability to use Aim Canceling. This is generally fair just as fast as dash cancel, but uses no stamina.
To cancel a destination, quickly double tap the target button (or the R button if you're on PC) just before the long backup animation. For Yoimiya, this is after her last normal attack in the NA chain.
It can be difficult, but with a little practice you can use it quite consistently. However, there aren't many characters that can take advantage of this increase your damage due to the fact that most characters with a bow don't often use their normal attacks.
Still, for Yoimiya or physical DPS Fischl users, Aim Canceling provides a better alternative to dash or jump canceling.
How to replace cancellation?
Swap Cancel refers to swapping to another character to end the animation early. Although not always helpful, helps reduce setup time by reducing support time like Xingqiu. To do this, simply spam the swap button to change characters the moment your entry goes through.
How to cancel a burst?
Burst Canceling is similar to swap cancellation doesn't always result in a huge DPS increase. However, Canceling bursts is a good way to farm energy. Do this by casting your Elemental Burst immediately after using your Elemental skill.
This works because game time continues during your Burst animation. As such, elemental particles appear and are absorbed by your active character before the animation ends.
Swap Burst Cancels
Switching between different characters doesn't take much time, but it can be done faster. Speed bonus aside, that too helps you avoid damage when a character first takes the field thanks to immediately using their Elemental Burst to gain immunity.
Swap Burst Canceling is much easier on your phone because it exists a specific button right next to your off-field character you can do it by tapping. On PC you will have to press ALT and the number associated with your character outside the field to do it.
Neuvillette Animation Cancel
Neuvillette has a special Charged Attack that normally takes a while to activate. However, can use Sourcewater Droplets to cast immediately using his Elemental Burst or Skill.
You must be near Sourcewater Droplets for this to work.
You can take it a step further and get rid of immersive animation altogether. To do this, instead of fully holding the attack button, just hold it for a moment and then release it. Charged Attack still works as normal, only the opening animation is removed.
Can you cancel the animation on your phone?
Yes, you can do all of the animation cancellations above on your phone. However, the difficulty varies a lot, especially with Aim Cancels and Jump Cancels.
If it is too difficult for you to do them, the overall DPS gain isn't significant enough to need to use them to beat any content. However, it can be useful for characters like Hu Tao to practice at least some technology.
