The Temple of Trials is a hidden dungeon that can only be unlocked through Xenlon'a wish-fulfilling mechanic. When you reach Cloudsgate Citadelthe main objective is to fight and defeat Xenlon. Each time you win, Xenlon will grant one wish from the list. To make it even harder, every time you fight a Xenlon, you have to defeat them in fewer turns than the previous fight. How to reach Xenlon in Dragon Quest 3 Remake

At the end of the dungeon, you will arrive at an arena where you will fight against Terror Troll, which is a more powerful version of the Boss Troll from Manoza Castle. After defeating the troll, you will be taken to the Cloudsgate Citadel, which will now be available as Zoom/Chimera Wing instead of fast travel.

How to contact Xenlon:
Once you enter Cloudsgate Citadelyou are very close to Xenlon. In the middle of the main chamber you will find a red carpet leading south from the royal throne. At the end of the red carpet you will find a staircase leading down to the lower level. Take this kit to exit the main chamber. In the next chamber, you'll find an old man offering a drink when you tell him you're going to see Xenlon. This drink does not seem to have any positive or negative effects.
Exit through the door in the southwest corner of the room. This will lead to the Citadel Tower. The tower has several floors of pretty difficult enemies, so you'll want to be properly leveled. Realistically, the first time you fight Xenlon, you'll want to be at least level 50. That's actually low, and it'll be hard, but it's possible. We were level 58 when we first beat Xenlon.
Xenlon is located at the top of the tower, and you'll know you're in the right place when you reach the long staircase. Take your time using any consumables and add any items you might want to use to your party's personal inventories. Then let the fun begin.
How to unlock the Temple of Trials in Dragon Quest 3 Remake
To get your first wish from Xenlon, you must win in 35 rounds or less. After defeating Xenlon, they will stand their ground and present you with a list of five possible wishes.
