How to use Realmgate in PoE 2
Realmgate is one of the core features of the endgame Path of Exile 2. However, unlike regular map nodes, Realmgate doesn't take Waystones to traverse, it takes something else.
This guide describes where to find the Realmgate, how to use it properly, and what to expect on the other side. Knowing what to expect and preparing accordingly is essential so you don't miss an opportunity.

How to find Realmgate in PoE 2
The Realmgate can be found right next to where you start the mapping phase. The fastest way to get back here is to click on floating home icon on the mapping screen (image above). This will refocus the screen to where the mapping phase began. Right next to the stone Ziggurat is the Realmgate.
Sometimes the home icon may overlap with the red skull icon that indicates the location of the Burning Monolith. Both of these places are usually close. Click on one to find the other.
How to use Realmgate in PoE 2
Unlike regular map nodes, Waystones do not work on Realmgates. Instead, the purpose of Realmgate is to guide the player to finish the Pinnacle boss fights. There are currently four Pinnacle boss fights in the game that require Realmgate. Here's how to access them using Realmgate.

Xesht, We That Are One (Breach Pinnacle Boss): Combine 300
Breach Splinters to create a Breachstone. Use the Breachstone at the Realmgate to access the Xesht boss fight.
- Olroth, Origin of the Fall (Expeditions Pinnacle Boss): Use a level 79 or higher Logbook (Expedition drop) by talking to Dannig in the hideout. Dannig can be randomly encountered during the expedition maps, as well as the other three NPCs of the expedition (Rog, Gwennen, and Tujen), after which he will permanently settle in your hideout.

The Simulacrum (Delirium Pinnacle Event): Combine 300
Simulacrum Splintersk creating a Simulacrum that can be used on the Realmgate. Instead of a single boss fight, it creates a map with 15 waves of Delirium enemies. Mapping settings are best for this.
- King in the Mists (Ritual Pinnacle Boss): Get the Audience With the King item from the Ritual Favor system by spending Tribute. Use it on the Realmgate to access this fight.
Trialmaster and Zarokh, Temporal are the endgame bosses at the end of Trial of Chaos and Trial of Sekhemas (Version 4. Ascendancy). These two are not part of the Realmgate system.
Arbiter or Ash, the true ultimate endgame boss who is the strongest of them all, can only be found in the Burning Monolith, not through the Realmgate. To access this fight, you'll need three Citadel Keys via a quest that you unlock when you first encounter the Burning Monolith.
