Taash is no stranger to fighting dragons and shares his love of hunting with Rook Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Each dragon presents its own set of challenges depending on what state it's attuned to, forcing you to adjust your attack strategy to suit each dragon.

Unlike many RPGs, Dragon Age: The Veilguard lets you discover that your character is trans and even gives you unique dialogue.
However, certain elements of each fight remain the same, as you should expect your enemy to retreat and regroup twice during the battle. Unfortunately, even retreating can be dangerous, as you'll be forced to stay alert and dodge a flurry of attacks while you wait for your opening.
How to get to Fangscorcher
Before you can face Fangscorcher in combat you must reach your lair.
Start at the Jagged Ruins, where you'll notice several floating platforms around; nevertheless massive gap preventing you from reaching the platform into the lair.
To solve the puzzle and create a path, use the green laser in the middle of the room and redirect the beam to the circular receiver.
Once the beam aligns with the receiver, a stone platform will appear. Watch the platform and try tMystical Tower fast travel point.
Enter the door start the search.
As with all dragon slaying matters, Taash is a mandatory party member, so add her now.
After a short conversation and a warning from Taashi, follow her through the Deep Woods when you pick up the Veil Jumper Note along the way.
Follow your marker to the top of the ruined building and cross the wooden beam. Then jump to other platforms another wooden beam to the top, passing through the cave to enchanted courtyard.
Defeat Antaam that will ambush you in this room and continue your journey to Fangscorcher's lair.
Antaams are weak to it Cold and fight back Electric.
How to kill Fangscorcher
When you enter the area, the Fangscorcher will make a grand entrance and burn the surrounding trees. Take the path to left and through a dangerous passage.
Once you reach Burnt Village, Fangscorcher lands and the battle begins.
This dragon is weak Cold and resists Fire.
This dragon shares a similar moveset to the other fights, with a head whip and ranged attacks that deal massive damage if you're caught in them.
Fangscorcher's main ranged attack is a deadly fireball, which you must avoid at all costs or you will take massive damage.
Watch out for the glowing ones purple weak points which appear on the dragon's body as attacking them deals critical damage and quickly decimate your enemy's HP.
Once you deal enough damage, the Fangscorcher will retreat to a perch and rain fire down from above creating chaos as you have to avoid a timed onslaught.
All dragon fights have two-phase transitions at about 66 percent and 33 percent of the remaining HP, where the dragon will retreat and shower you with attacks that match its elemental attunement.
Once you're done dodging and Fangscorcher is back on the ground, either get close to his feet and behind him to continue close combat damage or rely on a dodge and counter approach if you want to stay safe range.
Be sure to avoid the dragon's long pillar of fire breath if you keep your distance reversing when you see Fangscorcher summoning magma at its feet.
Attack the purple weak points as soon as they appear and after a few minutes of attacks you should push the Fangscorcher into its final transition phase.
Run around and dodge the fireballs that come at you until the Fangscorcher returns to the ground again for a final round of intense combat.
He is the best at the moment take what Fangscorcher gives you and wait for an opening to attack purple weak spots and finish the fight. Take your time and you'll be done in no time.
What rewards do you get for defeating The Fangscorcher?
Once you've finished plucking and defeated Fangscorcher, you'll be rewarded with the following:
- Dragon bone
- Dragonfire Catalyst
- Faction points
- Bond Points (Taash)
There's one more reward waiting for you in the nearby Treasure Room, so follow your mark and enter the breathtaking area.
Among the piles of gold and riches, you'll find a chest that grants an award Grip And Rip Unique longbow.
Grip And Rip Grants:
- Seven more arrows
- Shoots three arrows at once
- 50 percent less ranged attack damage
While the tradeoff seems significant, it's worth it if you can land all three arrows on your enemy, so this longbow is best used against larger opponents where every shot is easy to hit.
