How to get frozen northern pike in Once Human

When you enter the world of Once Human, you will find a lot of hostile creatures and people who will try to take you down. In your quest for survival, you need to be thoroughly equipped with the right weapons and equipment. You can find all kinds of resources that will allow you to craft weapons and ensure your safety.

Guns are the obvious choice of weapon when it comes to a post-apocalyptic world. If you want a quieter option or one that lets you get up close and personal with your enemies, there are plenty of melee weapons to choose from. Of course, some melee weapons are better than others.

Torch

AND Torch
is a pretty standard need when it comes to being stuck in a survival situation. This is a relatively weak weapon that deals minimal damage to enemies with each hit. It's also not that fast to swing and doesn't give you much range.

It's not bad to have one in your bag if you don't have any other melee weapons as you can light up targets with it. Enemies hit by the torch will suffer burns, which is great for dealing some elemental pain.

Key

The Key
is a basic weapon that can deal significant damage. If you want maximum impact, you'll need to pounce on enemies with heavy attacks. Landing a heavy attack deals Blunt damage to your enemies.

You'll need a lot of stamina when using this weapon, as heavy attacks will consume a chunk of your stamina when performing. If you have a lot of stamina left, your blunt damage can max out at 25 percent.

Northern pike

It's kind of crazy to have a big fish as a weapon during the apocalypse, isn't it? That's exactly why Northern pike
drains your sanity when you use it. It's not the weakest melee weapon you can get your hands on by any means, it's just terribly punishing.

Each Northern Pike hit deals Blunt damage to targets with a PSI intensity of five percent. The trade-off is that you lose five sanity with each hit.

Camping knife

A knife is a must when you are out in a survival situation. The Camping knife
is a melee weapon that you can also use to defend against deviants, but it's not as powerful, nor does it offer great speed and range.

It has a higher rating than other melee weapons because with regular melee hits you have a 33 percent chance to deal additional damage equal to around 50 percent of your melee damage. This means that you are likely to deal sudden damage every three hits.

Baseball bat

Next in the ranking is Baseball bat
but not because of his damage. It isn't any stronger than other melee weapons, but the first heavy attack really makes this weapon shine. In addition to dealing blunt damage with your first heavy attack, you also reduce the damage the target takes to you by 30 percent for 15 seconds.

This reduced damage allows you to take more hits while dealing your own attacks with maximum damage. The downside is that this effect doesn't work on bosses and other Meta-humans.

A stunning baton

. This weapon deals more damage compared to other melee weapons, but the real magic behind it is its ability to cause Power Surge. Light baton strikes give you an 80 percent chance to launch a Power Surge on your targets.

When these targets are in Power Surge, hit them with a powerful attack to deal 100 percent PSI shock damage to nearby enemies.

Long axe

The Long axe
it can really do a lot of damage, but that's not the only thing it boasts about. It gives you longer range despite being slow, and using heavy attacks with it activates fortress warfare. You can retrigger this effect every ten seconds.

Each hit on a target with heavy attacks will also increase Crit Rate by eight percent for ten seconds on all your weapons, not to mention a five percent increase in melee swing speed. This buff can stack up to three times, so it complements your other weapons nicely.

The legendary Masamune

The legendary Masamune is every samurai fan's dream. This beautiful legendary weapon is not as powerful as the Longaxe, but it is certainly just as deadly. The sword rewards you for keeping it well-maintained, giving an additional three percent of crit damage up to a total of 120 percent for every percent above 50 percent it has.

Every percentage below 20 percent durability will reduce your sword's attack damage by two percent.

Using a quick attack after drawing your sword will also give you a 30 percent damage increase and a guaranteed critical hit.

Frozen northern pike

At the top of the list is Frozen northern pike
lets you freely enjoy the frenzy of slashing enemies with a fish with a chilling twist. Heavy attacks on targets will freeze the primary target and create a Frost Vortex.

If you attack a target with Frost Vortex, you will regain five percent of lost health. This makes it a great weapon when you're up against a lot of hard-hitting enemies. It's also the perfect weapon to have when running a Frost Vortex build.
