How to join the Velvet Shade in the place where the winds meet
There are two ways join the Velvet Shade Sect Where the winds meet:

Get married, get divorced immediately, wait 24 hours for the divorce to be finalized and then receive an invitation

You will automatically receive an invitation when you reach a certain number of Elegance v WWM
At the time of writing, the Elegance points method is either bugged or not yet included in the global version of the game, so we don't know how many points are needed. Usually, you just need to equip your fanciest cosmetics and Velvet Shade will appeal to you. But if that doesn't work for you, you'll have to try the divorce method instead.
How to join the Velvet Shade by branching where the winds meet
Get married first WWMyou need to reach “Company” intimacy level with someone, then select “Partner Request” from the Social menu and visit Shi Yimo in the Red Maple Forest to form a partnership. Once you marry someone, you must divorce them as soon as possible.
Fortunately, it doesn't take long because you have to talk to Shi Yimo again and select the “Sever Partnership” option, and reaching the intimacy level of “Companionship” doesn't require that many gifts.
But now you have to wait 24 hours in real life before you can visit Shi Yimo again and complete the divorce for good. Once you do that, the invitation to join Velvet Shade will be in your inventoryand just follow the attached short quest to finally choose the option to join the Velvet Shade Sect v WWM for good.
If for some reason you do not receive an invitation from Velvet Shade in your inventory after completing the divorce, we recommend restarting the game and checking your inventory again. And if it still doesn't work, you'll have to remarry and divorce to try to get an invite to show up.
