The default layout may not suit everyone. Throne and Freedom allows players to completely remap their controls to have the best possible experience. These can be paired along with changing other settings to help improve game performance.
This can also be used by players to assign less used functions more complex bonds. This in turn releases quick and easy bindings to their most frequently used functions.
How to change keybindings for PC in Throne and Liberty
As expected, players will be able to rebind their keys by opening the menu and going to Settings. Once in the settings, players will click on the Shortcuts tab. Players will see a list of different types of operations and what shortcuts are currently assigned to them. Players will also see small trash can icons that they can use to unbind current shortcuts. To change an existing shortcut, the player simply clicks on the currently assigned shortcut. This will allow them to enter a new keyboard shortcut to replace it.
How to change console keybindings in Throne and Liberty
Despite the fact that the game is crossplay and has all the same components for both PC and console, the controller bindings are not in the same place as the mouse and keyboard settings. So console gamers will have to go a different route. Players open their menu, select Settings, then move to the Controller tab. Here they will see 2 options under their controller's preference buttons; Default and Custom. Players will want to select Custom to see a list of all the game's keyboard shortcuts. Move to the building you want to change and press either X for PlayStation or And for Xbox.
Players will now be able to either assign a challenge to a single button or set the operation to be tied to pressing a button and holding another button. If you assign a button or button pairing that is already in use, the game will display a window specifying which bindings will be removed. Players can choose to accept or reject these changes.
Why change key links in Throne and Liberty
Some of the default bindings can actually make some players pretty mad and they might find themselves moaning about something they didn't want to do. By rewiring the most intuitive buttons and/or controller settings to the way the player interacts with the game, they can greatly reduce the chances of you doing the wrong thing.
Another reason is that players would be able to play the game better with their personal choice of bindings rather than how most people would prefer the game's default button layout. Many players wouldn't dream of changing the way they activate their currently assigned Dash Morph, while others may feel that this button can serve them better as something else.
