Good trainers, cutters and managers make all the difference in how quickly your fighter recovers from a boxing match, contracts, more fame and better training in the gym. With enough time, you can even unlock famous cutmen like Jacob “Stitch” Duran, who has appeared in the corners of some of the most famous fighters in MMA and boxing.

When you start your career mode, you will have a choice of trainers, cutmen and managers. They're not the best in the business, but they only take a small percentage of your fighter's earnings and there's no minimum requirement to keep them.


Coaches

Hiring the right coach right from the start is vital for your chosen style. If you want a faster fighter, hire a trainer with better ratings in the areas you want. For example, an outdoor boxer requires speed, endurance and good defense, so choose trainers with higher ratings in these areas. Sluggers need to be strong and have good vitality, stamina and heart to survive knockdowns as they are aggressive fighters that can be caught by a good counter fighter.

Choose a trainer that has the qualities you desire for your fighter Unexceptionable. Plus, the better you play, the more traits your fighter will unlock thanks to increased affinity from winning fights under their watch.

You can too upgrade your trainers in Unexceptionable with earned XP instead of switching to another if you are happy with the features you get from them. However, it is also a good idea to check what other trainers are offering.

To unlock your traits and stats, some trainers have traits that will better suit your fighting style.


Cutmen

Cutman v Unexceptionable they are invaluable during your career mode. They help your fighters heal and recover faster between bouts, and more importantly, they provide stat boost bonuses such as reduced swelling, cut, chin, and body resistance that benefit your fighter while fighting in the ring. So pick a cutman with at least a D in one of those stats. In addition, the cutman's rating in Physio will determine if your fighter will recover from minor injuries, and his surgery ability will determine if he will recover from major injuries when he tries to pay for an early heal.

Managers

Managers will help you pick your next fight, negotiate a salary and gain fame and notoriety for your next boxing match. Selecting a manager with at least a 'D' in negotiation can greatly increase your chances of securing the best contracts and offers a 90 percent stat boost in this area. Earning more money is the goal in the early stages of your fighter's career.

You can change your trainers, managers and cutmen Unexceptionable before or after a scheduled battle. Once a fight date is set with your current team, you cannot change team members or break the contract. While your initial team won't incur penalties for breaking the contract, subsequent teams you hire with better stats will charge fees ranging from a few hundred to tens of thousands of dollars.


Hiring a new team

Hire a new team Unexceptionable, open yours Career Center and go to My team table Open the profile of your coach, cutman or manager and select View other coaches, cutmen or managers. This will give you a list of managers you can hire. However, most have specific requirements that you must meet before they become a member of your team.

  • Signature Fee: How much cash do they require before signing the contract.
  • Minimum fame: Many trainers will only agree to be on your team if you have high numbers in the glory state.
  • Price per fight: The percentage they take of your winnings per fight.
  • Contract termination costs: The amount the team member charges if you break the contract before the minimum contract period.
  • Bargain: How many games does a team member play before you have to pay another signing fee or hire someone else without penalty.

Don't rush to change your team when your fighter is low rated. Instead, you can rotate between the three starters, trainers, cutmen and managers offered when you turn pro without being penalized, allowing you to assess their attributes before moving on with expensive new team members.
