Pokemon Pokopia is gearing up for its Sableye event, but before that, there's one more event you won't want to miss. Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest is a limited-time event where you'll be able to jump rope with Bulbasaur for various rewards, including an exclusive trophy.
The competition will only be available for a limited time, with no guarantee that it will return, so if you're hoping to enter you'll need to make sure you enter at least once during the event. Fortunately, you can unlock all the rewards in one play session, so even if you have a limited amount of time to play, it should be easy enough to ensure you don't miss out on anything.
When does Bulbasaur's jump rope competition end?
Bulbasaur's jump rope contest will run from April 19, 2026, 5:00 a.m. to April 26, 2026, 4:59 a.m.. Because Pokopia runs on an internal clock, the action will be bound local timeso you don't have to worry about accounting for time zones.
In the game you can too check with Bulbasaur how many days are left until the event by asking them.
It also means you can skip time and attend the event. However, this may have undetermined consequences that players are currently unaware of, so do so at your own risk.
you will must have completed the “Yawn Up A Storm” requirement. in the Withered Wasteland to trigger this event.

How to complete Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest
If your switch 2 is set to the time and date listed for the event, you should see Bulbasaur hanging around the Pokemon Center once you open Popopia. No matter which zone you are in, Bulbasaur will appear in front of that zone's Pokémon Center. with a bubble that they would like to start a competition. If Bulbasaur doesn't mention anything, try talking to Professor Tangrowth as well.
Talk to Bulbasaur and they'll tell you about the jump rope competition going on and explain some of the rules. Eventually, the competition involves playing jump rope with Bulbasaur and trying to reach a certain score get a specific reward. You can also invite friends to play and compete against each other.
If you are playing on another player's islandyou will be able to have your scores stacked with each other but only the host gets the rewards for their jump scores. Alternatively, if you're playing on Cloud Island, then the player with the highest score gets the rewards.
To enter, tell Bulbasaur you'd like to enter the contest and the jump rope mini-game will begin. Bulbasaur won't tell you the rewards upfront, but you'll basically get a reward every 5-10 jumpsand the rewards will increase as the number of jumps increases. This means there is a cap on rewards.
If you miss a jump, the game stopsand you will be rewarded based on the jumps you have achieved. Bulbasaur will immediately ask if you want to try again, which you can either do immediately or offer to play later. To complete the event, you'll want to achieve at least 141 jumps in a single attempt to earn all available rewards..
How to jump rope
You probably want to know what the trick is to get such a high score, and it's quite simple. During the minigame, the only button you need to press is the jump button. Depending on your setup it will be either the B button or the R buttonwhich, if you don't already know, you can change in the settings.
with that said, the hardest part of the competition is timing your jumps. For the first 10 or so jumps, Bulbasaur will actually try to help guide you when to jump by making a sound, but you can honestly ignore that. Instead, listen to the sound of the jump rope itself. It makes two distinct sounds.
The first sound is a bit of a rustling sound and the second is the sound of the rope hitting the ground. When you hear the second sound, press the button. You can try to play by just following the rope, but listening to the audio cues is more likely to ensure you don't miss a jump, especially when the tempo changes.
Bulbasaur will often shake you up with a change of pace. You will see this indicated by an exclamation point above his headbut try to stay focused as much as you can. The pace will change roughly every 10 jumps.
It's also kind of annoying, but Pokemon in the area will come to watch you jump and can sometimes get too close, which can be incredibly distracting. Try to ignore them and maybe even complete the event in the zone that has the lowest number of Pokemon living near your local Pokemon Center. The Pokemon Center does not need to be rebuilt to spawn a Bulbasaur.
All rewards in the jump rope competition
Although you can participate in the jump rope competition as many times as you like, you only get the reward once for each level. So if you get 15 jumps on your first try and get a reward, but on your next turn you get 25 jumps, you only get the reward for completing 20 jumps because you already got the reward for 11 jumps on the previous try.
he said that you can unlock more than one reward in a single attempt. If you're not sure if there are any rewards left, listen to what Bulbasaur tells you as you play the game. If Bulbasaur declares that he has nothing more to give you, then you've earned all available rewards for this jump rope competition.
With that in mind, if you manage to get 141+ jumps on your first try, you'll unlock all the rewards at once and you won't be able to earn more on any other try. After you unlock the fifth Rare Poke Metal Ingot reward, for a total of 50 Rare Poke Metal Ingots, you will not be able to earn moreno matter how high your score is.
You get a trophy every time you try to complete 51 jumps and the trophy will reflect any total score for that attempt. This means that if you only achieve 52 jumps in this attempt, your trophy will have a permanent record of 52 jumps listed.
So, if you want to have a high record on your trophy, you must achieve it in the same attempt you unlocked it.
With that in mind, here are all the rewards you can earn:
