Infinity Nikki Reveals What's Coming in Update 1.1

Infinity Nikki is headed for its first major update since launch, and fans can look forward to participating in Shooting Star Season and its accompanying Wish Festival starting December 30. Update version 1.1 to Infinity Nikki will feature new outfits for Nikki to wear, along with more unique abilities, as well as gorgeous imagery full of shooting stars and paper cranes.

After a pre-registration period where more than 30 million people signed up for the game almost a month before its launch, Infinity Nikki was released on December 5, 2024 for PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. Although she has starred in a number of previous mobile dress-up games in the past, Infinity Nikki marked the start of something big for Nikki and her cat friend Momo as she embarked on her first open world adventure, traversing the magical world and using the unique abilities granted to her by wearing a special outfit.

A new change in Infinity Nikki is forcing players to talk about their least favorite aspect of the title in hopes of making a comeback soon.

Less than a month after the game's launch, Nikki and Momo are already looking forward to the release of the game's first major content update, which is set to arrive on December 30, 2024. The highlight of the update will be the Wish Festival, an event where every shooting star's wish is said to come true. The newly released trailer shows Nikki and Momo boarding a giant mechanical paper crane and soaring into a sky full of shooting stars before joining the others to make a wish. The game's official site also offers a preview of the upcoming event, promising new levels and quests Infinity Nikkiand also some special rewards for completing them.

As shown in the trailer, Nikki will also get to try out some brand new abilities. The first, a combination of a white and gold dress and top hat called Wings of Wishes, grants Nikki the ability to levitate, allowing her to summon an ethereal golden paper crane that she balances on as she glides through the sky. The second outfit shown, a full-length navy blue dress called Starfall Radiance, causes a shooting star to glow as Nikki folds her hands in prayer.

The upcoming update will also provide a number of seasonal wish encounters for players to experience. As shown in the preview, these will include an unexpected gift at the mayor's mansion, Manny's wish for shooting stars to stay in the sky, and an investigation into a mysterious bottle that will use Infinity Nikkiuser photo mode. Rewards for completing Wish Adventures and Wish Encounters include Diamonds, Bling, and a unique Earring Sketch.
